Weeklybeats is a 52 week long music project in which artists compose and publicly release 1 song a week for the entire year.
Starting January 1st 2024 GMT each participant will have one week to upload one finished composition. Any style of music or selection of instruments are welcomed and encouraged.

hallo weekly beat peoples!
decided to finally give it a go this year. my best friend/life-partner is emily, and i feel like i know so many of you from experiencing WB vicariously through her. 
i've got some loose ideas on how i want to approach this year, but mostly just going to follow the inspiration & (try to) keep it simple so i don't burn myself out. i look forward to hearing your tunes and getting to know y'all.

ps: i'm involved in several music situations, but i'll link to my 3 most active going concerns:
>forestlike - a duo w/ my lifelong buddy, Jared. folk(ish), soft psych, lots of nylon strings. we started working on these songs in late 2019 after he disappeared from music for 10+ years, and finally put out our 1st record in Nov. 2023. first thing i've mixed that has been pressed to vinyl!
>the rutabega - me + Garth, together on an ongoing carp rock adventure. emily often sings with us as well. our last record was released in Oct. 2022.
>joshua wayne hensley - mostly solo, home-recordings. there is a collab with maurice/ onezero on my last ep, 'kettle.' ok!
