Love the warm, lo-fi, homemade feeling of this one.  A sweet and melancholy little tune and the vocals sound great.

Maybe it's cuz i'm listening on headphones (on my mom's chromebook lol) and I'm used to listening thru my krks..  But this feels like you unearthed an old recording from a time capsule.  A wonderful nostalgic sound.  heart love it

so tender heart

the noise floor is actually the star of the show here
very iron & wine
i don't know what the lyrics are, but the title and the vocal delivery make me really sad

:'(

ha OD, the noise floor is the star of the show.
Lofi, demo tape magic
Another great week from you

They ain't the only one weepin' heart

Beautiful. heart

Absolutely beautiful!

Beautiful.

really beautiful recording heart so calming and sweet as always !

they would absolutely not recognize jesus. this was really beautiful, thank you.

I adore how it feels like I'm stumbled upon a hidden treasure from another time. beautiful

Feels, makes me wanna close my eyes and listen, intimate sound, in the room together.

Vintage? Modern? Timeless! Great sound. Great vocals.

Just incredible work sir. Very evocative of an old "camp song"... and just as needed as they were in their day.

Absolutely feels like a hidden track from a 60s bootleg - some stripped down Grateful Dead feel. Feels like stumbling across a lovely captured moment…

Your songs have all been quite different but somehow the aesthetic feels really cohesive. I think your voice and delivery being unique ties them together. It’s nice!

The grass is blue. Reminds me of “I can’t find a place in this world anymore,” and the production is perfect. Greatest American music is made of this. heart

(Shoulda just said “I get it.”)

Really beautiful! "We weren't prepared for this much sin" hits deep.

More proof that raw, gritty recordings have twice the heart of clean, pristine recordongs. Love it.

Soo good! Lovely subtle warble and tons of lofi character can't hide this is a neat little tune and a great performance.

This reminds me of a poem/story my mom told me as a child:

"Jesus Christ, son of the lord
Was once walking down a forest path
Open armed, barefeet, with a baby bird in his hand.
And on the path came a Christian,
Dressed in black and with frown on their face.
As they met, and had passed,
Neither one recognized the other."

(And the original in Finnish:)
" Jeesus Kristus, poika Herran
Kulki metsätietä kerran
Avosylin, paljain jaloin, linnunpoika kämmenellään.
Kulki siellä kristittykin, mustissansa, ilmein mykin.
Kohtasivat, ohi astuttuaan,
Ei tunnistanut toistaan kumpikaan."

will always love a room mic capturing vocals and an acoustic guitar. timeless sound.

Ahh this feels so... melancholy. It makes me think of someone spending the holidays alone for some reason. Love the noise and the somewhat distant acoustic guitar. Always a pleasure to listen to your tracks.

love the jwh unplugged.

feel bad for all the other WBs cause i'm just listening to this on repeat

This reminds me a lot of the bluegrass chorus in Kentucky Route Zero - nice job

Great stuff man.  Harks back to some of the old school country greats where the tales and tracks are very sombre or depressing even.  I don't find this depressing though but I dig the 'down' vibe.  Really nice.

Ummm excuse me? This shit is way too good. I just wish there was a really simple banjo solo or something to bring it to the two minute mark.

Oohh. I really enjoyed this one. Great work.

Love this, (sorry im so late been a busy week)

Love this so much. The simplicity and vulnerability in this is so powerful. Little Dena that grew up in Texas and in really hateful religion just got healed by this. Thank you friend.

Simply beautiful. The harmonies are wonderful and the lyrics are poetic, poignant, and perfect. An absolute masterclass in effective song-writing!

The song does what it set out to do. Five-star lyrics, five-star music, five-star performance, five-star mood. My only complaint is the abrupt fadeout, almost mid-phrase. Especially with the lofi noise floor, this is pretty noticeable.

Really hitting the nail on the head. Such an important sentiment. So many people claiming to be christian and completely missing the point…

Wonderful. Love your minimalism too.

This reminds me of listening to Hayden in high school. There is something forever young about this kind of sound.

It's like I'm listening on an underwater telephone we made and it's crystal clear. And lyrics were love.
