a) yes, this is an objectively correct take (and cake)
b) that whistle is awesome and I need to whistle in more music
Yep. That logic is sound. ๐ง๐
I also love coffee cake and now I can play this lovely tune while I eat it. Thank you for your contribution to a balanced breakfast, jwh! ๐
Brings up images of sitting in a cozy breakfast nook on a lazy weekend morning with the whole day stretching ahead of you and nothing you HAVE to do.
With blueberries?
Whistle gives me those Harvest Moon chills and ghostbumps for which I am declaring you famous ![]()
Who doesnโt as the crumbs fill my beard and fall all over me belly. Sounds awesome as usual.
Yeah, I love that too.
Those whistles, Coffee, cake and western. Don't touch my cake or I'll duel you with my pistol!
Completely transports me somewhere else. The way the snare blends with the strumming is just perfectโฆ and the message, wondering how to interpret itโฆ Amazing stuff!
I mean I knew I loved them all but I had no idea coffeecake had such an awesome chord progression
That guitar melody is hypnotic. The bass so warm like a hug and the whistle just makes me feel like it's all gonna be ok. especially with some coffee & cake
faved!
Really dig the brushes and the accents on the electric. Sweet tune!
This sounds so wonderfully full (perhaps like myself after a bit too much coffeecake).
Your vocal delivery here is great, and although the melody is very easy to catch, there is so much more for my ear to dig into. The whistle too!
Mastery on full display here. Well done.
The purity, simplicity, yet elegant elaboration of this track it very inspiring. Yay
That was an extra potent coffee break . Track sounds absolutely spot on
the bass
super cool production, nice guitar tone and whistles and that kinda F add chord that I like to overuse on guitar.
I'll echo others' sentiments here: big fan of the whistling. the simple mellow and honest tune is so great.

Can confirm, LCB is a verified coffee cake aficionado. This track rules and goes unreasonably hard, though, so does coffee cake.
True story? I believe it. This story is true in my life too. Yum
This has that kind of rolling western cinematic feel to me, sounds great. The whistles!
I can see the cowboy out on the range kinds of singing this, perhaps wishing for both of these things.
Drinking coffee while I listen this morning, great way to start the day, no coffee cake, but I did find a small cupcake in the fridge to enjoy with my coffee. Vocals are the star here again, don't know how to put it into words but you just have a great voice and that whistle, yes can listen to more of that.
We had a local baker who made their own spicy chocolate cake with cappuccino-flavored icing.
TLDR: I gained weight fast. I'm still sad that they quit their store about 9 years ago.
10/10 track!
I fucking love those sour notes in that acoustic. It takes what should be light and fun and adds such haunting uncertainty to it. Killer track.
Making something everyday into something special. Love the vocals and simply the warmth of the track. So much organic feel to it.
