I'm very much here for jwh filmscore. big_smile Awesome song!

Participating in WB has prepared you for this moment!  Whipping up a complete song in a few days?  No problem.  The music has a totally upbeat and happy vibe, but I like how the lyrics give a little hint of the ominousness you mentioned.  I'm sure this fits perfectly and hope Maggie's film does well in the festival.

Wonderful harmonies and lyrics!  The mix sounds so good especially the bass and drums with everything.  Mission Accomplished I'd say!  Would love to see the link eventually, also go Casio! smile

A new favorite. You've outdone yourself on this one. Great songwriting, vocals, melodies, harmondies, damn and the mix is insanely good with a warmth/feel to it, magic.

Beautiful retro feel on this one. Nice work on the lyrics.

The story, the song, just very sweet. Keep us posted on the film! Exciting to see your music in theaters!

we have the carpenters at home and they are great actually !!

song is as lovely as ever, hope her film festival goes well too heart

This is cute! I love it! It’s like a beautifully handcrafted miniature scene. There is something purely magical to that. Also that is fascinating to listen to as I would be totally unable to create this. And of course perfect singing!

Very cute! It's a lovely little track. I don't remember The Carpenter's music, though I'm sure I've heard it when I was a kid. This track does remind me of Paul Simon. I don't know what kind of film Maggie made, but I could see Wes Anderson use a track like this in one of his films. Anyway, very well done! And super nice of you to help a young aspiring film maker out like that!

Solid work!

There is some Paul Mc Cartney rubbery bass lines and the vocals reminds me a bit of some of his work too.

Anyways, I am pretty sure the track will sit great with the movie! Congrats on the achievement.

so cute

I'm film festival pre-screener and I'd have such a big smile on my face if this appeared on one of the shorts. it's whimiscal. Fun and really feels like it came from a summer time in the 90s.

This is awesome

this is so cute!! love this and love the vocal harmonies

great voice, fun rhythm, paddy reverb guitar in background could do wonders for sections.

Awesome track sir.  I love the percs and the harmonies are just stellar.  Also, there's nothing quite like delivering a piece of music to someone and having them like "oh it's perfect!!"  I had a commission last year that when made the client cry when they heard it... one of the most rewarding moments of my life.  Like I love writing music... but there's something magical about writing music to help someone else realize a vision... nothing quite like it.  So gratz.

so sunny and positive track...great! Right for these times

I can certainly surrender to this song. This was an instant rewind (or two) for me!!

The guitars moving around behind the chorus sounds wonderful. There's so many interplaying understated layers executed very well in this piece. And you've nailed that upbeat and ominous atmosphere. I can picture the movie scene montage as this plays.
Fantastic work! Sounds like a fun challenge to take on, and a great result! I look forward to seeing the short!

Also, "my heart is full of feathers" is such a great line!

Wow, congrats, I'm really curious to see this film now. And love the song, I yjink you nailed the upbeat plus slightly ominous vibe

Woah fr we’re writing music for films now

You have really been cooking. So fun and quirky. Lots of things coming in and out keep it really interesting. Overall tone of everything feels really nice and “vintage”

And, the vocals rock. Great track

This is so adorable! Really interesting progressions w/ twists and turns. Loving the playing with rests and how they lead to your different sections. Also, those vocal harmony stacks sound lush.

Great songwriting, love the uplifting vibe of it, will be really cool to see and hear it with the visuals of the film.

Lovely song, the melodies are great and the production is pretty cool, lots of characters and crispness in the sounds

I love the vocal harmonies and the fun upbeat feel to this one jwh! You hit all the notes! Great clear recording too. And Great back story!

Funny aside, I saw the "Story" and the "Lyrics" sections, clicked on "Story" but thought I was looking at "Lyrics" and the "Story" is kinda formatted in a way the looks a bit lyric-y ... so I was reading the "Story" thinking it was "Lyrics" and wondering how it was all going to work with a melody and a beat etc. Then I figured it out lol. Next week's challenge, use the "Story" as "lyrics" and see what you can do! wink

ha, that would be a good challenge! we'll see if i run out of ideas... right now i've got more than i can keep up with, including my PeterM Muppet idea big_smile

Holy moly!! It sounds incredible!! Well done!!

I thought I was listening to the Beatles when it first came on... I had to click on the profile to see if it was AI!!

I didn't realise you did it to help out a film project but it makes sense.

Bravo.

After hearing the previous track you and Emily made, this feels like a totally palet cleansing. hehe.
I just had to send wifey a kiss-and-hug emoji, hehe.

I have shit like this in my regular Apple Music playlists that we listen to while traveling in the car. This is up there with alternative giants. Wouldn't be out of place on early REM records, but also so many newer acts like Alt-J or Foals or boygenius or alvvays. I could go on.

My point is, this is top-notch. No notes. Five stars. Favorited.

Cute and mighty, love is those things indeed
