Sorry for the confusion. WB has now started, meaning THIS WEEK we make tracks. You cannot upload on the first day of the week because how would you of made a track the second the counter flipped over- If you're hyper productive and finished one that day- it gives you hours to listen and comment on other peoples tracks, or polish your own before uploading. smile

Done.

What I was thinking that may be interesting is to try making some wb tracks (if not all) on linux- or to take the idea further- only opensource software.

Though I'm not sure if I'm going to, it's just been an idea of mine for quite some time. If anything else I've been thinking of using this opportunity to use renoise and release the track source files with each wb.

Monthly EPs probably wins my vote, but I don't know the chances of them stepping up the website to handle this new idea with less than a week left til next year

Well, it was trash80 that first mentioned it...all they need to do is make the 52 into 12 and change weekly to MOON smile Oh and completely rewrite the backend probably but that's just a detail.

It would take longer to do a new design than it would to switch the current code to a monthly. wink

Hey Admins, what happens when we flip to 2013? Do you plan to keep everything up indefinitely or will it all be gone forever?

At the very least we'll try to keep it up as a archive as long as possible.

My vote is a monthly.

Yeah I have to send this stupid authenticated string to our storage service to allow the link to change the headers so that browsers actually download the file. Url encoding issues causes a mismatch. I fixed the issue, let me know if this happens again and give me the url to the song in question.

Thanks

Haha I have no idea. Could be the amazon server occasionally tripping on itself by missing the xml permissions file, or it could be your browser / flash messing up? No idea. The docs on swfupload (the tool we use for the progress bar) was not specific on the error http://demo.swfupload.org/Documentation/#upload_error

useless documentation wrote:

SECURITY_ERROR - The upload violates a security restriction. This error is rare.

Poppi: week9 fixed.

It could be that it uploaded the avatar, but your cache shows the old one, have you tried to do a refresh?

It worked, but gave me two week twelves instead of a thirteen... Ha!

Sorry to do this to you, but can you try again so we can see if it's working now? Sorry I'm making you our guinea pig test subject.

Changing your email address has to be done by a Mod/Admin. This is quite common for online forums, though it could be changed in the future.

From now on my filenames will be full of illegal characters and gibberish.

I just cannot think of a elegant solution at this time.
