I knew it didn't go live yet, but I didn't get to put down anything about it right about it at all to let everybody know what was going on and I didn't get to do the usual stuff that you do all there is there is that the track is there? Nothing that I didn't get to write anything about it like I normally do and then go on and and say everybody could look at her right comments about it or whatever like I normally do

Even though I had planned to do so I did not. I did find a new direction that I’m exploring. It’s interesting. It’s not my usual direction and I did start and finish a small more of a ballet exercise which I put together with the choreographer and perhaps this spring will actually see if it will come to fruition with having actual people dance should that come to pass I will video it and share.

Right now I would like to be sure about copyrightand publishing protections for my music. Anybody with any advice it would be welcome.

I am eager for this new year to come forth so I can once again try to compose one song or piece a week. This is the best group of composers I have ever been around. Everybody has been friendly and helpful and much better than those I worked within the past who were to say the least unkind to everybody. Probably the saving grace was they were equally cruel to everybody. I’m not complaining. I’m just saying I know when there is fresh air and where there is no oxygen.

Y’all have such impressive professional sites on band camp my plan is to put something on my band camp site and build it up this year

Although I did not get as many tunes win as I wanted, I still got to hear a lot of talented folks as still have a lot of music to listen to this year. As I have told many songwriting friends as I encouraged them to get involved - this is the kindest group of critics I have ever met. Also the most helpful so I hope to see it back in 2026 and maybe that will be the year I accomplish 52 for 52.

Ditto. I can’t reply to anybody, but I was able to go to theirs and after listening to what they had to offer and commenting, I just said something about what they had to say on mine so they would know I wasn’t ignoring them. It did seem to be a little bit Cheesy to say something about what they wrote on mine on theirs, but again, I didn’t want them to think I was ignoring them.

Hello everybody

I’m hoping to come back either this week or next. I have one song this year. It’s been a rough year. On 11 January 2022, my wife what would have been 44 years died. It was not expected, or planned or anything else she was just sitting in her recliner waiting for us to leave for an appointment I went and changed clothes came back she was nonresponsive I called 911 and 45 minutes later in the hospital they told me she had passed. She was my muse, my best friend and the love of my life.

Even though I did not always listen to her she would give me her honest opinion about anything that I wrote if I asked. Did we like the same kind of music? No. As a composer I like the little bit of a lot of things, as a listener she likes a little bit of a lot of things. But that’s for the similarities ended. We both like the symphony pot I was more in the fusion jazz and she was a lot more into Bluegrass.

But enough about that I could go on and on but I will not. I got another computer a new one and I am going to use it instead of my old slow one that didn’t have enough memory. It was finally delivered last week. That’s not what’s been keeping me from composing. What’s been keeping me from composing is that everything I’ve been writing has been not good. Even with my new computer which has been taking its sweet time about setting up really that’s probably more on me to straightening out licenses and all that sort of thing is tedious at best as we all know and it 72 I don’t suffer such things well.

I know I’m rambling but it is something that happens as I get older. I will shall be returning soon and I look forward to doing so. Everybody here is the kindest of critics. I enjoy This batch of creatives. Many of you don’t know how lucky you are to found a group like this so early in your life. Most of the time until I was in my 40s being a creative was not considered a good thing. How they liked it when you were coming up with a solution but you kind of had to keep it under your hat that you were good at doing such things. But at my last job the first thing I did after checking in and was asked my new boss what I should do and she told me go back to your desk and create something and I thought this is the best job in the world. And that’s exactly what I did for the next 20 years.

Anyway I just wanted to say I’m happy to be back and hopefully I’ll have something today if not I’ll have something for next week thank you so much you’re all such a blessing.

I’m impressed with your bandcamp site. I haven’t jumped in any markets yet and I should. Especially this year. I’m currently recovering from covid. What’s the story with all the gray scale? Normally I would get it but Covid temporarily dumbs one down.
