Just subscribed to the reddit (BRKMGS) and downloaded the comp. I'll give it a listen in the morning as girfriend fast asleep now. big_smile

I too keep all my tracks in an itunes playlist. 2.5 hours so far this year. Haven't quite finished this weeks tune yet though so about to go up.

I usually start no less than 3 times in a week on my wb and i usually end up going with the one i start on sunday at sometime after like 1pm (after I wake up) and upload at just before the deadline at 5pm.

Me too.Although sometimes I'll spend the entire week (1-3 hours a day) working on a track and then sack it off at the last minute and knock something together on Sunday night with only a few hours to spare.

Still here and determined to see the year through. Some of my tracks are a little "last minute" but that's from really busy weeks coupled with determination to complete the challenge.

Nice. Mine started as phasing using an accidentally recorded sample of a mouse click, but is now some weird approximation of Karplus-Strong synthesis that actually sounds more like FM. Kinda sounds like a malfunctioning Sega Genesis or something. Managed to cut it down to an hour, in four 'movements'. I think I might have to just upload an excerpt and put a whole 'album' on bandcamp.

Wow. Sounds interesting. Could you even make an mp3 that long small enough to upload on WB? lol
I'll definitely be up for a d/l if yr putting it on bandcamp. Mines coming in at a little over 4 mins but it feels really short. There's not enough time (and space) for the parts to breathe properly (if you know what I mean). Well a few days left so fingers crossed.

Hah, awesome. Well, the piece I'm working on is a Reich-esque experiment in phasing, but using a very monotonous source sample.

Kind of what I was thinking of doing. But with little bursts of static to represent Cosmic Background Radio Waves. Knowing me though I'll start with that but end up swamping it with distortion and amp simulators and putting a beat behind it. big_smile

Just quickly Re-analysed them in Virtual DJ (too late t fire up Logic and load each individual file, I need sleep big_smile)

W1: 90
W2: 87
W3: 105
W4 81
W5: 125.3
W6: 120.2
W7: 158.5
W8: 100
W9: 87.96

Must admit I'm a bit skeptical about the ones with decimal points. Sure I wouldn't type something like that in. That's Virtual DJ for you. But I'm pretty sure they're roughly correct.

Here's mine. Didn't go quite where I expected to. There's a bit more synth action in there than I'd planned but it was built around a loop of background noise made from two different audio recordings last week. The kick drum was initially put in there as a glorified click track but I ended up quite liking it. I smothered it in reverb though in an attempt to emulate a depth charge going off.

I'm in. I'm pretty inspired by the whole idea of the noises of "modern warfare" circa 1913. The Marinetti letter is particularly inspirational.

Kinda Lo-fi, distorted breaks from me this week. In 5/4 mainly but every fifth bar is in 4/4 (sorry lol)

No family as such but girlfriend and dog. Do a lot of work sat in bed with laptop and headphones in the small hours. Annoying through the day when I'm working really hard on something and my dog is just sat there whining at me to let her out or play with her etc. She's a proper attention seeker. lol

I'm up for reversed samples. I love working with them anyway.

Ended up a bit manic but here's my take on Pselodux's melody.
