Uploaded for week 38, and haven't missed one yet.  Of course, after you hear this week's, you might wish that I'd skipped this one.  (37 was better; check that out.)

Dang--I was hoping for a fake Liechtensteinian passport.

35 songs, 3 hours and 13 minutes.

Depends on the track--some of them with live instrumentation require several takes (Friday, Saturday nights, sometimes Thursday), while more electronic stuff is built up piecemeal in the evenings, and maybe tweaked this way or that way in a spare moment--bass drum here, oh, let's change that a bit, how about a variation there...and then by Sunday I'm trying to edit a 12-minute thing down to 5.

I do like george bowles's glitchy work--it's always interesting.  I'm fond of the assertively minimal techno of forum member 7506. Other artists I look out for each week: Perplex On, colorful grey, sinewave, infradead, minaret_kid, tonic_dj, weakmassive, an0va, brian botkiller, ctrl-L, pulsetrade, spry, dbb, Pocaille, Robroy, Kurt Lorenz. (Others, too, but that's the most-favorited list.)

Haven't missed so far, though my quality has been up and down at various points.  Some weeks I got an early start, sometimes (like this week) I probably won't have any idea what I'm doing until Thursday.  But I'm hanging in there, going for the full year.

Been listening to a lot of yinz all, that's for sure.  Great stuff coming out of this group, I'll tell you.

For me, it's depended on what instrument I'm playing. When I was doing more accompanying of belly dancers (really), I was playing guitar and uke along with percussion in Live, doing looping on the fly, etc.  Sometimes I'd just mouse around to trigger stuff, but it's hard to do when you're playing guitar.  I used a Digitech foot controller to trigger stuff in MIDI; I don't know if I ever got really comfortable with it. For random access of rhythm parts, I'd often mouse around anyway.  It's quicker than scrolling around with the foot.   For more synthy/live remix stuff, I've left the foot controller at home and just used point-and-click.

Now that I have some more guitar-based stuff coming up again, I might have to revisit the foot controller, though.

In addition to listening to as much of the 2014 contributions here as I can, I've been in a heavy Jason Molina phase (RIP) with the reissue of Magnolia Electric Company and Fading Trails.

Just to be completely schizo when the player hits shuffle, I've loaded a bunch of Tri Repetae-era Autechre, as well.  It'll be time to change things up, soon, though.

Update: Just installed the Flash player system-wide instead of relying on the one built into Google Chrome, and it now works in Mac OS X Safari.  I kind of dislike relying on Flash for the upload, but if someone's having the same symptoms I was, a systemic Flash install seems to help.

It's a problem for me, no matter how much I refresh. Mac OS X, Google Chrome, 13.6 MB mp3 file at 256kbps.  No spaces in the filename, and I've tried disabling my firewall as well.  No errors in the JS console, and no success in selecting any file for upload.

Attempting an upload with Google Chrome OS X, and the progressBarStatus is "Security Error" after I select my file for upload.  It's a 13.6MB .mp3 at 256kbps, and I've turned my firewall off and chmod'd 777 for this upload.

Update: fixed, by installing the system-wide Flash player, instead of relying on Chrome's built-in Flash player.
