Its not broken, you can not upload the same day the week starts. If someone already has a track done before the week has started, it's not in the spirit of the site.  wink

Aaah...that makes sense.  Thank you!

Upload still seems to be broken for me, but we have all week to work it out.

Got back into live performance, built a guitar (Res-O-Glas body with an Eastwood neck, Lace Alumitones, Bigsby), and kept doing weekly pieces.  Also changed jobs, so I'm working with flying robots now.

You and me both!  Now that I have access to it...I'd like to do more.

Badass!  Looking forward to hearing it. During the last year, I've gotten a bit into Tidal, so that may make an appearance this year.

I built a simple modular synth.

Congratulations!  Impressive work!  Looking forward to hearing it!

Maybe more sharing between us (collabs, samples, source code...)

I'd be interested!

2014: First time doing the weekly thing.  First half of the year...very spotty.  Second half had some good tracks, though.  Did all 52.

2015: Without WB, I decided to keep going on my own, and did all 52.  I think I got better at editing pieces, and I had more keepers this year.  I did a few weeks with Tidal live coding to generate at least part of the piece, and that was kind of interesting.  Also finished building a guitar, and that's become my main instrument.  And I bought a wah pedal, so that gets a lot of use as well.

I tend to work more organically, and go for "what do I want to hear right now?" when doing pieces. I expect that'll stay the same in 2016, and I'll probably also stick to my rhythm of mining a methodology for a few weeks, and then taking a left turn into something else.

More importantly, does anyone else miss the feverish mix/master/upload process every Sunday? I've never been more musically productive than during WB14 smile

Well, I can't miss it...since I've been doing that same feverish mix/master/upload process every week this year, too. (Put up my 50th 2015 piece yesterday.)  It'd be nice to do 2016 here...but if it doesn't happen, I'll probably clean out my SoundCloud account and just keep going.

I've kept up the weekly tracks at http://onezeromusic.com/weekly/ (and on SoundCloud...but I'll have to do some housekeeping).  But I'd love to be posting again here in 2016.

I started using the tag #weekly beats 2015 on SoundCloud, if anyone else is keeping up the weekly schedule.  Feel free to tag and join in!

For convenience, I'm collecting my 2015's here:

That'd be cool.  Good idea, Mr Mort!

I'm doing a solo 2015 one-track-a-week thing, since it feels right to keep going.

Otherwise, for anyone who didn't pick it up in the other thread, SoundCloud (one) or SoundCloud (two), FB, an ello, yoctonaut twitter, onezero twitter, personal/professional twitter.

I couldn't let Sunday slip away without a track.  So I'm doing 2015 on my own.

Sounds awesome.  I'm going to set up a downloads page on one of my sites; more info as we get closer to Sunday.

1. Cell by Cell (Intended to explore a pedal, ended up with funk.)
2. Detuned Dream (Unintentionally coalesced into something compelling.)
3. Dance of Leaves (Might be the friendliest track.)
4. Størmer (Maybe the most-frequently-requested-by-the-kids track.)
5. Empty Place (Nailed the vibe I was going for.)

What's nice is there are a bunch of honorable-mention tracks from this year, too, in no particular order: Mt. Asgard, Crush Everything, Djado, Candle Dance, Studio 100100, Unresolved Hostname, Robot in Summer, Sweet Concluder, Glacier Lounge, Advancing Slowly, NSDTMP, Soliton, Microbes, New Year's Beat, and The Long Night.
