streaming audio sounds like crap... reason why I don't like stuff like spotify, etc

ended up having to work on friday totally derailed my plans to do an electronic music song. so I did a sort of idm meets dub style beat friday night in like 30 minutes and had my band improvise over that. turned out pretty cool I guess, it's nice to have a "plan b"

caustic is pretty awesome. I want to get the full version, probably soon.

as far as the idea that having a lot of comments means anything... that seems pretty random.

I wanna go camping this summer and make a track only using my samsung galaxy s2 android phone. got some cool programs on there.

yeah, I need to upgrade from my base-price thing. but for how I use it, I can get by without the extra features. would like to start using midi though, and automation, etc.

I have some sad news... work is making me "go to work" tomorrow. stupid auditors, stupid accounting.

you can do it! sometimes some really cool stuff is just made up on the fly. do something out of your normal methods.

spry, i'm on fb a lot, just look up my name on there if you want to have a easy way to communicate. this goes for everyone, really. I need more music nerds, geeks, freaks, and aliens for friends.

I bought FL Studio for $50 a long time ago, and it has paid off big time now that the sound quality is pretty great and it is more stable with the vsts... still needs some work in that dept, unless it is just my computer. i love using this program and making super weird time sig patterns. like that sunsawr one I did was sequenced in 6/5. I'm probably just using the looping features wrong though, but I like what it ends up sound like. I'm just so used to using it that when I use other programs it feels like it would take a while to learn some thing new. that said audiomulch.com gives you 60 days free of a pretty easy to use program (if you use it just in a live sense). I'll check out lmms though, sounds interesting. I also dl'd a copy of nodal, that should be interesting...

i think this whole thing could be solved by a complicated system of preferences and customization with lots of data on your song plays and stuff, but i feel like that would dilute this thing that we have just started (49 more weeks??!!?). it could just as easily be solved by making the playlist random and the display of music on the music page randomly oriented as well.  if there are artists you want to listen to you can always just search for them anyway.

I like the random idea, and another thing which would be nice is the ability to have separate playlists for each week... as well as the main one with everything in it (which could benefit especially from a shuffle button)

I tend to comment on things that fit into my own personal tastes. don't take offense if I haven't commented on your track, it's just not my "thing". but it's cool that you wrote this into a thread, I think it was at least somewhat on a lot of people's minds? since it is a fairly large community I think there will be people tending to "group up".

as you touched upon in this post, there are a lot of people without comments... maybe just comment on those and start your own commenting group? I dunno this thing is gonna evolve like crazy methinks. and I am going to do my damnedest to listen to all these tracks. someone might do something I love one week then do a track that I am not very partial to another week. I am totally fine with this being the case for my tracks as well. the best part is that it is really interesting, I never know what is going to pop out of the music player!
