Congratulations everyone and thank you!  52/52 here, found out about it on Createdigitalmusic.com just before the deadline last year, and figured what the heck, why not?  I never hit a block as such, and always figured that I'd work out something.  Some of my tracks weren't so good, but those tended to be from trying to hit a specific target.  The better tracks emerged somewhat organically and were more process-oriented. ("Let's do something where all the guitars go through this pedal I just bought."  "Let's use the bit crusher on all tracks." "Let's have every track be this Ableton instrument.")  If I thought I had a successful with some particular track, the next week went better if I set some rule that differentiated the two, to avoid live-up-to-X syndrome. I did learn that I really like synthesizing percussion sounds better than using drum machine samples, so that opens up some process.  And I like using drum lines that are varying lengths for unexpected interactions.

Very cool to do this, and while I'm not totally sure what I'll do in 2015, I think I'm going to try to keep up a composition schedule. And collect some of what I did this past year for more formal release.  Also, I'm not going away--I'll listen to things I haven't yet heard, and keep commenting. Great to discover your work here!

I'm on SahndClahd (either this one or this one), Defacebook, an Ello thing, and have a few relatively inactive Twizzlers.

i would also ... maybe some exchange? my email: [email protected] - happy new year! ccc

43/52 for me, it was sure nice having time off at the end lol! got pretty busy at end of year. was creatively exhausted anyway. you can hear some of the stuff i made this year on my net label:

http://eidrecords.bandcamp.com including the first Sidesplitter full length. and i made another new sitari too:

http://sitari.bandcamp.com and of course my super out there psychedelic "jam" band, but I think we're more improv:

http://psychic-attack.bandcamp.com my two main bands, Vronk and Voltage Cobra, will have proper releases in 2015!

Got 52/52, this year has truly been an great music making experience for me.
Amazing to think of that it's because I read an article on createdigitalmusic and figured that: ok, maybe deadlines will make me a bit more productive and better at finishing my tracks. I didn't really think I would make the entire year, though.

Thanks to everybody who participated for creating so much great music and making this such a wonderful music making community, and of course a particularly big thank you to the people running the web site and the project!

For 2015 I'll be more active on Soundcloud and work on an album, probably based on some of the material that I have released here over this last year.

I still haven't had time to listen to any music from week 52, so I'm not really leaving WB2014 just yet.

Goodbye to all, for now.

There is no plan that I know for a WB2015.

what about a wb2016? will there be a way to put my email down so I am notified in advance to get ready... ?

I did weeklybeats this year with a 'new name' because I wasn't sure what I'd do and how it would turn out.

Here's where to find me and my other projects online:

I also want to say THANK YOU for this incredible experience both to the guys behind weeklybeats and to the phenomenal artists i had the chance to listen to and exchange feedback and thoughts.

I'm really exhausted and happy now but i also fear that without weeklybeats my motivation to produce music will dramatically drop down. wink

Anyway i wish everybody a happy new year and all the best for 2015! Hope to see you again!

Wanted to say thanks to everyone for setting up the site and also taking part, it's been great to take part and listen to the amazing contributions each week. I managed 52/52 so I'm not sure what I'm going to do without the adrenaline rush and state of panic every Sunday night ;-) Hope to see everyone in 2016

Thanks to everyone for so much music to dig through. Theres still a lot I haven't listened to yet, I'm hoping the archive will stay live over the next year at least.

Big ups to the producers that managed to pull it off, even with a lot of great gear its hard to find inspiration and then get together a good arrangement within a week.

Also thanks to Trash and the WB crew for keeping alive the em vibe.

104/104 here. Number 104 is a special tribute to 2012/2014.

Much easier to handle this time around, because my main job is making music it was rarely a hassle. Sometimes it was done last minute due to being really busy, but not that often.

Like vinpous, I am a 2k12/2k14 vet smile

104 in the can cool

I got a few raised eyebrows when I said that I was thinking about doing 2k14, from those who remembered (and yes experienced the side-effects of) the stress involved...! I was much more chilled about it this year, but still managed to maintain a certain standard. In fact, I prefer my 2k14 stuff on the whole.

It's a brilliant site and if there's a 2k16 I'll be there...
