Plantrain is a musical project that in different ways combine improvisation and composition. Most tracks are based on an improvised base but adds multiple composed elements. Some sounds are recorded live, some are created from samples.
Most tracks are made using drum machines and acoustic (or virtual) piano, but my original instrument is drums so live percussion sometimes enters the mix.
Musically this mostly ends up somewhere between cinematic atmospheres, minimal electronic music and piano melancholy.
