Isn't it nice?

2026 wowowowowooo

Tryna write lyrics this year. I did write lyrics. They are OK. I was gonna do more, but then it felt like 2024.

I wrote chords for a verse, chorus, and bridge though. That's new.

Def did not bounce with 7ms to go and spend 25s trying to dial LUFS.

Organ solo one taked lol should have removed the other 30 things going on for that part.

Giving me empty screen vibes! I was enjoying the bass lines and vocals the most. Were you playing the bass? And if so which one? It has a nice pink floyd sounding distortion on it on some of the notes.

love the organ!

For me, the verses are the highlight of this song. Love the lyrics and theme, and the bouncy melody matches the tongue in cheek lyrics perfectly.

Welcome back 2026!

Love the processing on the guitars, and the that bass breakdown in the middle... so nice.

Smooth, like the rhodes a lot.

Guitars are pretty nice too.

Just to my taste, but I'd probably tame down just a bit the reverbs, but this is me!

Rock on!

Thanks yeah I play everything live at least for 8 bars these days 😜

It’s my fav bass. Fender p bass with flat wounds through guitar rig ā€œcharged bass invaderā€ or something the NI supercharger does a solid compress / saturate.

It’s the same bass from empty screens but different chain

Ah I was guessing it was the schecter. I guess it takes some play time to hear the difference between flats and rounds. Is it about the amount of difference between single and double coil guitar pickups?

I don't think the lyrics are coming through in the mix that well, but it's still a very nice vibe.

Omg that first chorus entry is so smooth! Love all the elements, and the lyrics are just chill enough and also not so much to keep it comfortably uncertain. Welcome back heart

Welcome back! Nice to hear your stuff again. Cool e piano licks and organ solo.

The whispery tone of the vocals feel a bit weak, the monotone melody too, like the singer's heart is not in it. I couldn't understand lyrics on headphones but later relistened on phone and they are better here. Maybe the mix is just a bit muddy and the phone cuts those freqs.

Lyrics seem appropriately depressing but one thing is they dont quite have the rhythm of the melody. Seems like you spread em out so the syllables land on eight notes, which makes the melody even more monotone. I think it's also the reason it's hard to focus on the words.

Nice organ solo, my fav part tbh. I also like the spirit of the lyrics. Keep cranking them and hope my unsolicited feedback is welcome!

Catchy as hell! I agree with others, crank those vocals up!

i'm stoked so many folks are doing more w/ vocals already this year! also, that little guitar break between verses is so smooth.
sorry i influenced you to commit multiple felonies, but it couldn't be helped.
here's to a great yeah, prophisee!

I like the song concept, it definitely resonates. I'm planning to do more vocals this year, too, so happy to hear you doing that as well. Weekly Beats was very supportive of my attempts in 2024, so yeah, this is the right place to grow!

Glad to see you return to WB for 2026.
