Welcome to my submission for week 5. I'm glad you're here!

This week I made a house track. I liked the randomly-generated title on the m8, so I'm sticking with it. I started by making 5 different 8-bar loops to practice putting together interesting patterns. I then combined the top 3 into the final track. I've also been thinking about background/foreground and how to shift the location of an element between them.

It's been a real treat listening to everyone's tracks on here, and I feel like I'm starting to hear more of the fun production tricks that y'all are putting into your work smile

I'd love to hear any constructive feedback y'all have on this. Thanks for listening!

This is sparse and chill but with a fullness to it

I like the arp that comes in halfway through. Jumping left and right. big_smile  Fun Track!

Is that the dj filter you're using for the filter sweeps? Sounds really good. Nice n minimal track but still enough going on to keep it interesting.

Thanks you! Yup, mostly all dj filter sweeps over a phrase. There are a few small movements of per-instrument filters too.

very relaxing vibes

Aww thanks bud, appreciate the listen heart. It's a bit funky for me to re-listen to this after so long; almost like I'm forgetting the struggle it took to make the track lol. I think around this time I was feeling particularly inspired by Graz's Paper Hearts
