Lore dumps inbound. 😅 Still a work in progress. Mostly I’m just happy I got to bring back some of my favorite sounds for this track.

Things are starting to shape on the mini soundtrack front. Rather than trying to tell a continuous story across all fifty-two weeks this year, I'm giving myself permission to write a tiny RPG soundtrack suite out of order. The list may expand if I can keep the momentum going, and the roles for each track may change if I wind up writing themes I like better certain parts. But everything locks in at the end of the year.

Happy Week 5 everybody! To newcomers (and oldcomers too), you're more than a month into WB 2026 now, and that's a huge milestone. The next eleven will fly by quicker than you think. Give yourself a well-earned pat on the back and keep up the great work! big_smile

omg, the lore for all of this is such a treat. It's given me a glimpse of this larger world you're creating and providing context for these songs. I think this is awesome dungeon music. I can imagine exploring ruins, solving puzzles, platforming, and fighting enemies in the style of a Ys game or something. Man, this song was sick. Another favorite. You're killing it this year!

AMAZING Lore to accompany this journey! You've been killing it with these tracks. Keep it up!

It's a theme I'll listen to on repeat. Love the big moments adn the pads.

What a fun idea, this is so good. Really excited to see all of what comes next, this track is a banger

awesome lore! totally agree with ViridianLoom, it's got a dungeon crawler feel to it.  Characters exploring and montages telling the story.  love the outro and come down.  Well done!

Time does fly! Already 10% into 2026!
I like the sense of space I get from this track. It feels like an open sky in a lovely field.

You too buddy. It feels like the weather is beginning to warm up outside, hopefully Spring is around the corner. I'm fully on board with this lore, if it turns into a book I'll read it. Enjoying the wide open spaces as usual, and looking forward to more.

Hypnotic. The melody/arp and panning of hats situation locks you in. Good stuff.

I actually laughed out loud with this, hahahaha...
The vocal synth at around 1:05 is SO PRETTY!!!
Really enjoyed this one, nice job!

Nice work dude. It took me out of my funk

That's a lot of lore, but it's also pretty neat lore.

This is sublime! Love those plucky little background arps

This is a good tune on its own, but I imagine that in the context of a soundtrack it might become a fan favorite easily. Very satisfying, driving and timbre rich. I like how there's constant motion, but the slow melody progression keeps it somehow calm at the same time. Grounded.

Looking forward to the rest!

Awesome sounds in this track.  Love the guitaresque lead that rises up at 1:40 and the funky one at 2:50.

Completely forgot that I was listening to WB, I think that’s probably the highest compliment you can get around here right? Full song, great production and I was fully immersed. Excellent work!

So glad you're enjoying the lore, and neat to hear it actually evokes an RPG image! Someday I'll have to give the Ys series a proper shot. Thanks ViridianLoom!

Thanks Tone Matrix! Keeping my fingers crossed I can get this mock-dungeon crawler soundtrack finished by the end of the year on WB. wink

This is so insanely good, you madman lol Especially coupled with the lore this has such a strong sense of atmosphere and character. I'm ready to play this game!

Also, I'm trying to catch up on listening and commenting - you're slowing me down because I keep listening to this one on repeat XD
