similar to my track last week, the song i was working on this week synced up perfectly with Napear's Week 29 track, 'Rewards'. like... eerily so. Napear was down to clown, so i also reached out to this incredible crew and everyone delivered The Goods. a total bear to mix, but i couldn't be happier with how it turned out.

*if you are here first, please make sure to stop by Tone Matrix' page (we both posted this song as our track this week) and show him some love. he included some more info about how this song came together  smile
and don't forget to check out emily, Napear, and Orange Drink if you haven't already heart heart heart

absolutely honored to be included.  the song was incredible before it even got to me, great job.

WORLD RECORD FOR MOST WBers ON ONE TRACK: 5

Yayyyyyy! heart

This one was super fun to hear as it evolved... I mentioned this to JWH earlier in the week, but I think the first time I actually like Rewards was after it was included in this track.  Super stoked to be a part of it.

Whoa! The Traveling Wilburys of Weeklybeats! Amazing!

Just came over from Tone Matrix's page and I'll echo what I said over there.  I knew as soon as I saw all the names in the title that it would be something special.  And it's truly delightful to see all these familiar names combining their talents.  Keep the collaborations coming!

Beautiful, glorious work on this. Everyone take a bow!

This is timeless. Could be from 1971, could be from 2024. Beautiful, well done. This is a moment in time!

Tone - i didn't even think about all the cool keyboard stuff that Lynne did with ELO. they were so great. emily and i were watching the video for 'Handle With Care' the other night, the best!

ooooh true! i have some album_discoverin to do this week and omg i totally forgot about "handle with care" yikes
The sec the chorus hits with Roy Orbison I was like "OHHHHH right!" I want that Tom Petty hat tho smile
ooooh and i just discovered there is a 24min doc on em.. yay! *jumps down da rabbit hole*

Wonderful all stars band giving their goods for something bigger. An epic came out. Congratulations.

Congratulations to all of you, some of weekly beats best all on one track, great job with the mix, I can imagine that would be a challenge working with people remotely and things recorded on different setups and equipment, this sounds like you all recorded it in one place together.  that section starting at 3:13 is so good with the blend of the trumpet and synth, you all should be very proud.

Great job everyone! Thanks for making this happen jwh! WB super duper group. Transforming Weekberries. What a lovely song. It does seem timeless. Giving me the good feels. I like to picture you all playing this in a room, having fun, even though that didn't happen.

LOL caught! I think you get to be Harrison after getting all these amazing folks together to make this track happen. So cool to hear this star-studded lineup. Choruses are so triumphant, just sitting here with a goofy smile listening to this song.

Such a clear and beautiful sound. What a great band!

Stopped over at Tome Matrix's page first - such an amazing mix. It's like a candystore for your ears. So many amazing textures to listen for, but nothing fights anything else. And those vocals - OMG those vocals. So lush and rich, that sort of Beach Boys/Matthew Sweet close blending harmony that's just ethereal. Beautiful.

Said it on Tone Matrix’s page and I’ll say it again here: this is such a cool collab and a beautiful combo of all of your strengths. Awesome work, and hats off to everyone involved! big_smile

Absolutely stellar collab! The vibes are hitting the feels with those unison vocal lines. Just an overall fantastic tune.

I mean, there's 6 of us, so every week is beating this in a way, but also, aside from plurality, let's break that. You got my stuff, so that's 2 so far.
- Spider

it's a weeklybeats supergroup!
And what a song, this is ridiculously good, definitely one of my faves this year (so many good ones to choose from). That chorus is amazing.
