So, my plaaaaaaaan for this week was to force myself to use only my iPad, by not taking any other music gear with me while I traveled over the past week... but it turns out I medium hate using it as my only tool... I really tried to give Logic for iPad a fair shake... just not for me.  So, I got back into town on Saturday (lucked in to only being delayed by a few ours from the whole Crowdstrike thing), and then the plan was to make a track with my newest synth to start learning the workflow for it and what not... but then my mixer decided it didn't want to send all it's inputs to the computer anymore... soooooo... instead of recording what I sequenced on the Virus, I decided to keep this ambient series going... and you know I guess I kinda needed this one too... good way to reset after being in a ginormous city for a week.  It's always fun to break out the Project Sam Symphobia multi patches and just play.

So again, if anyone wants to use this for whatever things you might want to use it for, its in C major... and actually mostly just sits on the C chord for the whole thing, and is technically 92 bpm, but that's only impacting some of the delays, and the Arkhis low strings, nothing else was played in time at all.

I hope everyone can find a little peace in tumultuous times.

I left a comment ... and then it looks like the server reset and it's gone.

Anyway, this was magical. It was a chaotic day here and this was a wonderful, fantastical, peaceful little fairy-moment that was most welcome. Just beautiful, thank you heart

Love the sound of the woodwinds (i think) it gave me some early James Horner feels ala Braveheart minus the accent smile  I could almost hear the low C chord rumble ala Field of Dreams.  Those sparkly pads are magical and really heighten the woodwind theme.  Also, you got an Access Virus!? Luuuucky.. I have an old Virus C that I don't use as often as I should anymore and need to.  Hope your mixer cooperates next week!

glad you persevered! Lovely ambient creation

aye

Very lush, the C chord vamp gives this piece a very Copland or Williams feel. Americana distorted through a gravitational lens. I'm also reminded of Hainbach's latest video where he bounces audio signals off the moon and recaptures them, something about the ethereal backdrop sounds like an extraterrestrial, sparkly call and response with the lead ideas.

Great work!

Thanks for the kind words, I'm glad it could help you find some refuge from the chaos of life.

Thanks, I really do love the flutes in all the Symphobia libraries, but Lumina (Symphonba 3) especially... it's built specifically for fantasy and sci-fi sound pallets, and the all the winds in it are just so lovely.  And yeah, I'm stoked for the Virus, it's a TI2, and I'm still learning it, but hopefully in the next couple weeks I will have some things made with it.   I am DEEPLY in love with it though... and yeah I was able to patch around the issue with the mixer, but I also have a new one in route.

Thanks, and I love that imagery... I haven't seen Hainbach's new video, but now I feel like I need to watch it, that sounds fascinating.

i know you already know how enamored i am with this piece, but for public record:
I AM ENAMORED WITH THIS PIECE
heart

I too recommend that Hainbach video as he also released a free Moon Echo plugin based on that.  A very odd sort of squelchy effect but might be useful for fx and transitions smile

Yup just watched, super cool… and as soon as I heard the effect, I already knew what I want to use that plug-in for… I’m going to use it in the fourth piece of this ambient series… I have very dark and spooky thing planned for it… much excite… ٩(。•́‿•̀。)۶

Sitting in Starbucks staring out the window while listening to this beautiful ambient track and feeling carried off to some distant land with lush forests, exotic animals and pristine water falls. Really digging the way you craft the mixes in this ambient series.  Keep them coming (please) smile

Thanks for that, I do plan on at least one more, though the next in the series promises to NOT be so very peaceful ༽◺_◿༼ ... but I'm really glad you like it, and I love the imagery it conjured up for you... wait until you hear what JWH (et al.) have done with it...

thank you for inspiring something i've never been a part of before... heart

Hey thanks, I'm really glad this inspired so many people... though... let's be real here Josh deserves like 99.99999999% of the credit.

Dang, this is just so lush and lovely. Feels like I'm surrounded by peace and calm. Incredible stuff smile

Thanks so much, I'm glad it has that effect.  You know listening back to this track, I like it a LOT more than I did when I posted it (which is a not altogether uncommon experience for me)... I can barely even remember what bothered me about it originally... but I still think I like it a lot more as a part of what jwh (et al.) did with it in Render Into Rubble.  It was neat to take see it grow and blossom into something totally different.
