Hello,
I haven't posted anything here before; very to the whole process.
I thought my upload would be accepted for week 10; that's what the countdown indicated (the "you will go live in:" section). But it looks like nothing was uploaded, and the timer has reset for next week. So it just looks like my track wasn't uploaded for week 10, and I'm not sure why, or if I submitted too early, or something else.
Any insight would be great, as I'd really like to participate.
Thanks!
Hey there! Welcome to WB If you see week 11's icon in gray instead of pink, like on the image below, it means your track is indeed submitted!

Thank you!
Wasn't sure how to report this but there's a problem with user 唱白's track, when clicked on it leads to:
https://weeklybeats.com/0x218090x30333/
utumn-song
which ends up being a 404.
Manually pasting the following URL in the nav bar fixes it:
https://weeklybeats.com/唱白/music/autumn-song
Might be that kanji aren't fully supported in the pathing?

I just saw that and got a bit worried, my guess is it's a bug, otherwise there goes my streak right on week 1 lol

Full time working day job, dad of 2 kids (3 and 8 years old) drumming in a band (and we want to release an album in 2020, some of the tracks are already recorded but will have to put some work into that as well). But a friend of mine did 2018 challenge and he did release some great content. This gave me motivation to try. I want to compose as well even if I am a drummer, so I'll try to release something every weeks.
Welcome aboard djippy!

Aww yeah!! This was a lifesaver last time around so definitely count me in
Please say it's coming back!
I hapazardly tried to update the image with recent stats for 2018; I don't have access to the stats from previous years and by editing a new graph on top of the old graph image it won't be 100% correct (I think my line ends up being a bit too high relative to its actual number), but it gives a good idea I think?

I'd be down as well to keep it going on the off year, count me in if this happens!

It's not exactly what you are looking for, but if you favorite a song from an artist, all of that artist's tracks will then show up in the Filter Artists you've favorited when you filter in the music page: https://weeklybeats.com/music
That's quite interesting, thanks for sharing it did you notice a trend in terms of starting submissions from year to year or is it roughly always the same amount of participants?
Heyyyy! doing well, you? We're already at week 26! It's crazy!
I don't know if the admins can change it but as a quick-fix in the meantime, you could use bitly (https://bitly.com/) to shorten (and thus change) your URL

I did have an issue with Mr. Markov I Presume where on Win 10 Chrome it didn't play to the end; I switched to my mobile and was able to hear the whole thing. Didn't think to mention it because I thought it was a problem on my end.
My friend Pocaille encouraged me to do Weekly Beats as an opportunity to learn to compose and produce. I didn't think I'd get very far, but haven't missed a week yet! It's been a tremendous learning experience, had I known that it was this fun to create my own music, I'd have started earlier. There's a bunch of things I want to explore before year's end; do more chiptune, a tribute song for my brother's gore movie Termitator, compose something for my singer friend Pola to do vocals on, attempt covers/remixes of my friend's tracks, etc. Listening to the wonderful tracks everyone creates week after week is also a big source of inspiration and motivation, there's some incredibly talented people on here!
Wasn't working on anything actually! My friend Pocaille convinced me to take the leap and use WB18 as an opportunity to learn to use a DAW and try my hand at composing/producing. I've been playing music for the longest time but never really made a full song from scratch before this; I did make one vaporwave track last year, but it was sample-based. In any case I'm having a blast, it's stressful at times but it's very rewarding.
