I was thinking it could be this, or just something with spacy sounds; perhaps a tribute to spaceman fantastique.

i just type in whatever number sounds fun to me that week, and try to avoid "pretty" numbers like 120 in favor of weird numbers like 117 or 79. I DO WHAT I WANT.

Same here, I do 140 at times, but 123, 91, or 135 aren't too bad either.

Here is week 7, here is week 8.

I have week 6 here, no week 4 or 5 (yet), I was a little late and they dropped out of the RSS, so I'm going to have to think of something clever here (my feed reader has a backup RSS file).

Week 7 will be here soon enough, 8 probably too.

Too bad copyrighted samples aren't allowed to be used here.

Tiasu and DrumurBoy did one back in week 26 of 2012, they each submitted their own thing, Coadunate and Legendary Steel; they're pretty similar, but still different, so I guess that's what you should be going for.

Also, Devieus, how in the world did you remember those tracks from 2 years ago??

I have a lot of WB12 songs on my mp3 player, these two included. I remember pongball who only did stuff the first three weeks, fuxter who just sort of left, I'm glad to see kubbi's back on occasion, but kinda sad NWSPR isn't, moxie has a special place in my music folder, astute slipper's yellow songs were great. And of course the not so great I'll not mention, my disdain is more personal.

Just because I only contributed the last 9 weeks doesn't mean I wasn't around. I started listening from week 14 and have a folder for every week containing what I consider sweet music and you were in most of them; I'm still enjoying the Hubert Complex to this day.

It's still Sunday for 8 hours here so I thought I still had time to upload (song has been done for over 4 hours, finished well before the deadline), would I be able to get an upload link please? On a related note, would you guys ever consider a grace period to account for timezones? I understand you want everyone to have the exact same amount of time but it seems kinda weird that some have to upload their song by the afternoon while others can wait until midnight.

Fun fact: there's a countdown timer on the front page, should be easy to gauge how much time you have left.

Unless you work with words, music is incapable of transmitting a message or meaning.

But it can convey emotion, and that might be meaning enough.

It can generate emotion, but not necessarily the one the artist intended; certain linkin park songs make me happy because the sounds are nice, even if the lyrics are almost always depressing emo shit.

How about any dead musician, recent or otherwise; Tiny Tim is closer to the uke than anyone else.

It's also for reddit.

So basically recording in public? Is that a proper way of summarizing it?

read the pdf its short.

then figure out a concept from it that's interesting.

its wide open.

16 pages isn't short, 3 pages is short, one sentence is short, 16 pages is not short.

It was the first song submitted that week.

howdy, can i get a link to re-up week five? the file i uploaded has like twenty seconds of silence at the end, figured i'd spare everyone that if possible. already have a fixed version ready to go.

The week isn't over, you can probably remove what you have now and resubmit it.
