It's been pretty easy for me so far. I think the next few weeks will be dedicated to OP-1 jams; it's just so easy to get something cool going!
yeah me too, got a lot of new equipment and ideas to play with, so far very good 
I've been experimenting with different methods to streamline the process. I've been starting to jam out and get to where a loop or an idea is fully fleshed out. From there I scale back and try to introduce that idea. I'll do that another time and jam between them.
yeah improvisation and then effective editing, or making a sample library from a jam and then doing a quick sequencing is the most efficient way to work.
rough, got sick, have people over. working on just putting anything out
been sick too, finally getting better after like 12 days of soar throat, stuffy nose, coughing, all that good stuff. didn't take off work or band practice so real tired.
tried a new way of sequencing beats that i have been thinking about doing for years, and it worked better than expected. 2 really weird synth tracks too, one from a korg poly800 and the other from a gakken, both through reverbs and delays which changed the character of the sounds.
i keep tinkering with the finally master, maybe I'll run it again. in the meantime, ready to chat i guess. how is everyone's start going? my tracks started out on the long side but are getting progressively a bit shorter. in a few weeks, maybe i'll be under 5 minutes! ha, yeah right.

I do, I hate streaming, it is too dependent on a stable connection. mp3s all the way for me. I only download the tracks i like though.
twitter might be acting weird as an image host
I can see your image on your music post and also the bigger image below.
Maybe it's related to wherever you're hosting the image, sometimes it ends in .jpg but it's actually something else like a script (imgur does this now, super annoying)

Try a plugin like Easy Image Embed
Then you can just right click on an image and copy it's bbcode to your clipboard. Super easy.

sometimes i can get the html to work, but not today. what is the easiest and best way to display images on here? can we just get some kind of link setup so that we don't have to put in the code?
i am mostly known for playing bass, but have played guitar much longer. didn't start til i was like 16 or 17, but been playing guitar for over 2 decades now. bass is more recent but i am better at it, i play bass kinda like a guitar with more chords and stuff than the usual bassist.
i also have a keyboard synth and can play percussion. am decent behind the kit, not the worst but not super good, intermediate at best i'd say. i can do free jazz stuff pretty well, harder for me to keep a regular beat, kind of a spazz behind the kit. been sequencing electronic music for nearly as long as playing guitar, so i'd say i'm only slightly more an instrumentalist. i played a hammond through a leslie speaker friday night and got some nice compliments about my keyboard playing, i'm starting to figure that out too. piano was my very first instrument. also have played trombone.
overall, i'm an experimentalist in whatever medium i can possibly get into, whether it's performance on instruments, in a sound studio, or doing visual art.
I like the sound of this and fully support the first suggested theme.
