i do give every track a chance, but due to the sheer volume of tracks if it doesn't grab my ear right away i will skip to next track

yes, thank you weekly beats, it is nice to have the impetus to create work this often, it's how you can learn and stumble across new sounds, techniques, and methodologies. and great to get feedback on my work, i don't get that too much. speaking of which, are there any blogs to send music to get reviewed?

i had one off week but am really happy with what i've been churning out so far. this week's is one of the best i've done this year, methinks.

been on a black metal kick to end the winter, after reading 50 states of black metal article. found a few really good ones from the US... the best of the midwest where i'm from is called aevangelist. really evil sounding shit, not formulaic either. a few other ones like ange de la mort and yellow eyes.

Ah nice, i used to do rpm before i found weeklybeats. I just got tired of mailing in the physical copy on cd.

here is something i recorded in January and am now releasing, this might be my favorite thing i have done so far https://eidrecords.bandcamp.com/album/w … d-tethered

If that link does not work just go to music tab and search by year filter.

and this band i've been into since their 2nd album, Orannsi Pazuzu (really tripped out pink floydish black metal for no other way to describe it).

Go Finland!

I havent really heard too much new music this year, but been listening a lot of band called Teksti-TV 666, they do psychedelic rock with good amounts of punk and krautrock stuff thrown in. Heres their new song.
