I like how i made mine, i don't think what i actually came out with was very good. but it was definitely a direction i want to explore more of.

I really only made the song i did today in about as long as the song itself is. I really want to start figuring out better ways of arranging things once they've been recorded

this week's is really long and repetitive, just a slow 101 bpm jam

Yeah but when you get on this sleep schedule there can be serious health effects, also as soon as you fall asleep you go into REM sleep which isn't very good for you, so after a while the only sleep you get is REM sleep and no light sleep which can't be good either. I believe some of the founding fathers tried this.

Also if you have any kind of day job or time commitments it's no good, because missing a bit of sleep will throw you off entirely, and you can't exactly take half hour naps at work or school, or if you happen to have a badly timed appointment.

I'd love it if this worked but realistically if you need contact with anyone at all on a regular basis it won't really work.

my track i kind of just threw together, not particularly happy with it, as it's not really my style, but it sounds alright i think.

I had a total fail this week, but I decided to stick to my guns and finish it even if it was crap. Though this week I'm on a head start today with something I like. smile

P.S. It would also be helpful if we could "Quote" others in the comments section beneath the relevant individual's track as per the Forum.

You can quote, but you just need to write the tags in manually, but a quote button would be nice I agree

Something I've noticed is that the "new posts" link doesn't seem to work as well as it does on cm.o, a lot of the time it will even bring me to the beginning of a multi page thread that i've read part of before.

Also notifications don't seem to go away right away after being dealt with or clicked or whatever.

I have a different (slightly lower end) pair of AKGs, the 240 MK II, they're good quality, but very slightly bassy, possibly to compensate for being semi-open? I dunno, but they are good.

I had a song that I made pretty quickly and it came out ok, but it's not what is was expecting I guess. But I did just receive my nanoloop 1.6 cart, and have already begun working on new things, so i'm excited!

I think it would be good if you could edit your submission until it is "released" at least. I just hit enter by accident before I finished and now I can't get to it to finish the details and such. sad

regardless, there's no point in imposing rules, it's for people to do with it what they will it seems. closing it after the first week just restricts it for no real reason other than to be exclusive. we're not competing so why bother imposing extra rules?

Doesn't that defeat the purpose – of sticking to a 52-week challenge??

it's a challenge not a contest, it's up to the individual what the "purpose" is.
