I downloaded a bunch of your tracks throughout the year so don't worry! This really isn't a "best of" sort of thing, just tracks I liked that happened to fit the mood I was going for. Many of my favorites didn't make it in actually (Matt Nida, Infradead, dataline, pulsetrade, etc.).

I made an hour long mix of pleasant songs from Weekly Beats. I tried my best to follow along throughout the year after I stopped participating, but I'm sure there are some things I've missed. Weekly Beats was a very fun project for me and I'm happy to have participated (and congrats to those that made it the entire year).

Here's the mix:

Tracklisting:
Kedromelon - I Pray Thee...
Balloonbear - Blue Shift
Slunchy - Humgry (Sinn Shepp Stereolab)
Ryan - Well...
Chroma - In The Woods
Euphoric Noise - One Thousand Years From Now
Dot.AY - Drag Your Feet
Parallelis - Soul Incandescence
Mooninite - Uncertain Season (W/ RS2090)
Orinoco - Knifey Spooney
Ozda - Prime
Joe Galen - Box Clever
Minikomi - Take Your Time
Oceans Universum Amazonas - Repeating Numbers
Moxie - Temple
Gify - The 4th Dream
Lien - 2 Note Blue
little-scale - Amputation Fantasy Land
Drumurboy - Drop It Cat
Spaceman Fantastiques - Inner Tranquility (Delayed Sea)
BTS - 06-17-12
BlondieBrunetti - Lightning Roll

I acquired Steve Halpern's Spectrum Suite LP the other day (mid-70s ambient stuff), which I've been very much enjoying.

Also LX Sweat's tape is good.

mp3gain is great for this.

Only 1/3 through the year and Weekly Beats is getting pretty difficult to keep up with. Still so many quality tracks, though. Here are my favorite tracks from April.

I don't really understand this site's conservative copyright stance in the first place. It seems a creative project like Weekly Beats should always err on the side creative freedom when dealing with copyright, but the policy as it stands is needlessly limiting.

I just made a post here of my favorite tracks from this month. Overall I was surprised by the high quality across the board (despite the decline in participation).

I haven't listened to the songs from week 10 yet, but I'm hoping to catch up tomorrow.

Thanks for taking the time to do these reviews! Very cool and honestly I think we should all be doing this, but, so hard to find the time.

I think so too. I've been trying to do monthly recommendations of my favorites. Here is January's, and I just posted the February one.

Thanks for sharing your stuff. I really enjoyed your Stalker-based pieces. They're probably my favorite thing that has come out of this project.

Two recent projects of mine that might appeal to people here:

"Winds Against" by Editions: A DIY synthpop project of friends that I helped out with.
Aerosol: a collection of bootleg (and very loose) edits I made last year of songs I like.

I really like that Severant album. Awesome stuff.

Suzanne Ciani's Seven Waves album. It's a bit on the new-age side, but has a lot of qualities I really like. In case you're curious.
