Patches

A quick voice memos ditty on Fri so I have time to do the things I need to do.

Love the autobiographic nature of this one. I assume that this is exactly what you were doing this weekend? Pretty fun way to turn something less than exciting into something fun. If only living spaces would keep themselves clean and maintained without our help... Nice job!

Not the kind of Patches that first came to mind, but that's probably for the best LOL.

I'm going to play this song for my wife because we had a roof leak uh, years ago, and I still haven't fixed the damage >.<

"Sagging like a pair of pants" 🤣

This is great and relatable.

The "drip drip drip" could have been a cool opportunity to emphasize those words with muted chucking on the guitar or something.

Hahaha so relatable. Dealing with roof repairs myself as well as racoons under the house getting dry dry dry. 🤣

You left out the problem in my particular situation, mold, but thanks it all helps do the chores. 2022 was the year you did 52 weeks of building and producing and you are a pro. I wish I had a teaspoon of your talent.

even though this is a sad song it has a nice ring to it

sorry about the mold (its not going to say it so i will instead) and just imagine if blighters rock was your uncle wink

This reminds me that I should (must) replace my water eater at home as it is going to his 18 years old...

Meh, it didn't broke on me (yet)!

The track is actually very nice, and the parallel with day to day things and emotional journey is a good one. Might be worth a re-recording at some point?

Hope the repairs won't be the kind of project that displays a problem to another, etc...

Take care!

i like your vocal on this  smile

This is pretty fun. It would be like the secret track at the end of the album or something, with the same voice memo sound quality. haha. Your chord progressions are always interesting in a good way.

Talk about writing what you know!! This is a great little gem.  I hope the roof patching went well.

don't think i didn't catch the "sagging pants" / "crack" line

i feel like you thought nobody would catch it

i caught it

(amazing song btw, love you hitting those high notes)
