Gone in an Instant

I love the verse structure.  Cutting the vocals at the third line each time through is just beautiful

I like the minimalism, but part of me wants to hear this with a massive overproduced chorus with full drums.

Great start to the year

Catchy and driving, intelligible lyrics, great groovin rhythms with spice added to taste. The guitar, bass, and vocal cohesion is absolutely fantastic on this. Very nice week 1.

Love that kick. I can "feel" the air.

Mix is wide and clear. Solid songwriting again.

Beautiful guitar Tones, clean and crunchy ones.

I could listen to a whole album of this.

I love those tasty lead guitar licks because the tone is super tastefully. Also it's definitely a different kind of pace for you, I think, and I dig it. Your voice timbre seems lower-register for this tune, kind of within the range of your natural speaking voice. It sounds good smile

Your mix sounds leveled up since I last heard your stuff in 2024. Great first submission.

Really nice tune to start the year. I always enjoy listening to the storytelling in your songs. Really love the contrast between the upbeat backdrop and the sombre lyrics. Very nice melodic lead guitar playing as well!

Killer. Great. Struggling to recall them all but I think this is my favorite over any in ‘24. Guess that’s how it’s supposed to go and cool to see. Agree about the kick sounding great. Really hope you keep these coming!

Did you try having the verse bass double that hammer on the guitar does? If I was to reach the only thing my brain was imagining differently was the verse bass doing a little more.

this takes me back to a happier time :')
such a well produced track, love it and great singing voice

this is some really lovely song writing (: i am along for the ride

super catchy guitar lick from the get go that sets the scene for nostalgic feels.  Oof the lead guitar line sounds excellent.  Vocals/lyrics on the chorus are especially catchy.  Well done!

The the intro. The lyrics are pounded out so perfectly!

quiet confidence, just so good. everything in its right place.
here's to a great year ahead!

love it, the voice sounds very pleasant to me and the overall mood and just nice! awesome!

Happy new year 2026!

I love the sound of the guitars here and the general vibe. It's not over the top and there is good clarity of the instruments. Great mix and nice melodies.

This a very well crafted track. Great job. Love the delivery of the vocals. Great mix.

Lovely tune to start the year, nice work!

Lovely mix! Really nice track

Love it! TY & welcome back

Yeah everything sits well in the mix and it's a nice gradual progression of adding in new elements. Thanks for sharing

Thanks! I didn't think of the verse that way when I wrote it, but now that you mention it, it is a bit weird with the 3+1. Maybe I'll work it up into a full band track

Wish I could take credit for the kick. Built-in sample from Logic Pro, repeated throughout the song. Thanks!

Thanks! I find it much harder to control my voice in this register for some reason.

Thanks so much! I felt like I picked a decent guitar tone and everything fell in place behind that without much effort.

Wow, high praise and expectations for '26! Thanks, man. I landed on this bass part pretty much immediately, and didn't have time to second guess myself haha

Hehe I feel like you've been wrestling with the Jazz Bass Conundrum for the better part of 4 years now! I think I want a Musicman (Sterling prob) or Ibanez next. Viridian has an Ibanez and it's killer. Thanks for listening, welcome back and looking forward to hearing what you do this year.

Welcome back. It's nice hearing your voice again. And your guitars.

Well done! I'm jealous of you guys with great voices and A+ writing skills doing lyrical jiujitsu! The lyrics are so good.

I appreciate it! Both lyrics and vocals are a perennial struggle, but that's why we're here, right?
