Odd timings sound cool in here. The kick drum triples sound rad. Heavy and ballsy. Nice job!
I can only imagine what sort of friends and events could lead to this wild piece.

So a friend (German) sent me a bunch of song ideas he posted on soundcloud -- a lot of them are metal-y / grunge. One day he sent me a track he made inspired by one of my tracks, so I wanted to return the favor and make a track inspired by one of his metal songs.
While thinking about that, I went to see my first live show in several years with friends (Black Midi) which has a crazy frenetic prog-metal-jazz-punk (?) vibe. I think I wrote this song a few days after seeing the show.
I guess I then conjured the rock/metal gods because shortly after I posted this track, I ended up seeing another rock show (Palm) which is one of my current fav bands. I started thinking about going to more rock shows...like Russian Circles (chicago doom metal band). Wasn't able to make it to that show, but hope to catch them live at some point.
A few weeks later I ended up going to a record sale and randomly stumbling across an excellent compilation of 70s rock inspired by Zeppelin / Black Sabbath
Ok, so not all of this relates to the making of this track, but just wanted to share the weird punk/metal gravity orbit I got pulled into here
