Meditation

This is something different. I invite you to try this out yourself:

By chance, last week I attended a sound bowl/standing bell meditation in a sauna. In it, the performer would strike a metal sound bowl with a mallet, creating a long-lasting tone. At first, the attendees are supposed to breathe in as the sound is struck, and breathe out as the tone decays. In doing so, you have to trust the performer to regulate the breathing frequency sensibly, which was a surprisingly interesting experience for me.

Later on, the performer would deviate from this scheme and ring multiple bowls simultaneously, creating a soundscape. They would move through the space, which, especially with closed eyes, created a very interesting effect, too.

I played with the idea a little and allowed myself a little cheekiness in the middle.
