City Under Shadow

Wee! This is the last track I've mixed for my album and I'm finalizing the master so I can get it uploaded to spotify. Super excited to share the music with everyone soon, so if you're on the discord server keep an eye out in the promotion channel.

It's been nice to take a step back from WB for a while because, while it's been absolutely instrumental in my growth as a musician, I also needed to learn to take it easy on myself. So yeah, I'm feeling pretty fulfilled right now especially with this album being finished. I'm mega proud of it. It might not be for everyone but it's the kind of album I personally would want to listen to front to back. After this one is completely out of my hands I'm going to work on finishing up my album of VGM tunes and then I'll decide if I'm either going to go the prog-metal route or the folk route for the next Venaht record (both albums are happening regardless). And I'd like to rely a bit more on others throughout the production of that next record, as I felt that trying to handle EVERYTHING by myself for Immerens was too stressful. Stuff like finding a mix engineer, collaborating more with friends to get their input on songs, hiring musicians for stuff like woodwinds/violins/horns, etc.

Hope everyone has been doing good. I've been listening to people's tunes but I just haven't commented. Too bad I can't click a little heart icon or something to acknowledge that I liked a tune. Proud of everyone who's continued to upload throughout the year. It's super cool to nail a 52 week run as long as you're in the headspace for it.

Congratulations on being close to the end with the album!

The singing on this track is very good! This is a beautiful rich track. The guitar layers are really good, organic and filling the space without muddying it. This sounds really pro to me. I wish you the best to get an audience to discover your tracks and listen to your albums as you have the talent to capture a lot of people.

Share the links to your albums when they are out!

congrats on wrapping up the album!

this is a really deep and beauty filled song. I really dig the low register vocal, and then when you move up higher towards the end. perfect way to bring it home.

Yeah man congrats!

Very cool track again. It was great to hear your journey-progression, especially vocal wise. You always were a beast composition, bass and guitar wise, but I remember some early track where you probably didn't find your singing self yet.

Solid work.
