Weeklybeats is a 52 week long music project in which artists compose and publicly release 1 song a week for the entire year.
Starting January 1st 2024 GMT each participant will have one week to upload one finished composition. Any style of music or selection of instruments are welcomed and encouraged.

My stepdaughter is graduating this year, so I decided to make a graduation song. It's basically a sequel to Everybody's Free (To Wear Sunscreen) by Baz Luhrmann, Quindon Traver, and Josh Abrahams for the class of 1999.

This is beautiful. I wasn’t necessarily expecting to tear up, but here we are.
I recall seeing the original speech, but I don’t remember the line about parents being such a gut punch…always surprising what perspectives change over decades. 
Musically, you nailed the “positive yet wistful” end of year montage vibe, without being cheesy. The subtle build was great.
As a parent (and also step parent), this is one helluva gift. Great work.
