Didn't have a lot of time this week again so most of it was improvised on the fly. Thinking about impending economic collapse.....


Laid down bass and drums together in the computer, put them into a structure and recorded harmonium to them. Mixed that in, then recorded cymbals and ocarina all in single takes with that skeleton. Two takes for vox and then chopped out the rotten bits and pasted over with decent bits from elsewhere. Standard compressors and reverb to stitch it all together. Total work time about 2 and a half hours!

Thanks! The instrumentation is pretty different than I'm used to. It does feel kinda esoteric some how

The harmonium was definitely where I focused this week. I scribbled down the lyrics about 2 minutes before I sang two takes of vocals and went right into mixing. I think my confidence in my vocal part had me setting it low in the mix :-X but listening back, it could use a bit more!
