Gentle Review (WB51)

By spry on December 22, 2024 7:30 am

Distant melody, unclear, obscured, yet reminiscent of something familiar.

A bit of a soundscape this week. Trying this no drums thing and it might be growing on me a bit. Broke out the harmonium for some live drone instrumentation and resonance and then used the mixing template from the past few weeks with some adjustments for taking off some of the sharper edges. Had to squeeze the compressors and fx chains a bit harder to make this feel thick enough.

Total work time about 3 hours on and off on a staggered Sunday.

A harmonium! That’s awesome. It fits so well within the electronic soundscape. Great processing on it.

Love the low bass hit - it rides the edge of percussion, but definitely isn’t. Gives the song a pulse and drives it forward, complemented well by the upper synth part. Meditative. Great track!

I like this ambiance. Very well done.

ooooh love the harmonium

My honest review: very chill. Very pleasant sounds for a very relaxing atmosphere.
