Looking Out From the Inside

By rdomain on December 22, 2024 7:47 am

A track created on the OP-1 Field.  This comprises of 2 pieces which have been combined to create one.  Everything was done on the OP-1 except for a couple of fades.  No other edits were made.

The first half of the piece was created by only using the sounds of a $5 kalimba I bought off of Temu.  big_smile  This was then sampled into the OP-1 for manipulating.  The second half contains radio static I sampled from the internal radio of the OP-1.

I like the fact, that a 2000$ device plays back a 5$ instrument. I love the contrasting use of gear, even the other way round.
This was a nice and good sounding lofi improvisation.

you found the magic cave that turns kalimba into digital gold heart

Favd it! Excellent work

Yes, the irony!  Haha.  I was up for the challenge to make an instrument from Temu sound good.  Heh.
