Slow Groove (OPL)

Another slow groove, not aiming for a specific genre or anything just that old school 90s FM sound with all of the influences swirling throughout the years. It was a rough week time wise so I had to do everything in 3 hours again (sigh).
I had a good groove going, tried to get a bit too clever and ran out of time just as I got to an interesting chord progression which resulted in an accidental key change when trying to end the piece using the material from the starting bars. Whoops!
Goals with this week:
- Keep it simple, there's really only 4 'parts'. A melody, an arpeggiated chord texture, a bass line, very simple percussion.
- Working more on melody in general, and relying less on percussion to keep things interesting. It's a start
- Staying consistent. The honeymoon phase is over, it's week 9 so it takes more effort to push myself to make music but I'm enjoying it which is all that matters.

This turned out nice and soothing - definitely a good cure for WB burnout.
