This one started with a sample from Nothing Can Stop Me by Cissy Houston.
I put my Dilla hat on and built a wonky beat around it, letting it grow into its own thing. Mellotron chords, piano octaves on top, slowly shaping a new mood.
An hour before the deadline, I leaned back and listened.
That warm feeling of arrival. Calm. Satisfying.
This week was heavy. Little sleep, a lot of work, many obligations.
Still, nothing can stop me from making beats.
