MIDI Sketch 2

By Sir Bunting on March 10, 2024 4:19 pm

Week 2 with my normal computer packed away. It's all 9/8. The percussion channel uses ColomboGMGS2__SF2_ again. The other tracks are default MIDI instruments. Sorry this one couldn't be more ambitious with a solo added in there before the first motif comes back. Need to allow myself some space to not try so hard during the move because a lot is going on. Truthfully this rhythm was a little challenging because of the sixteenth rest at the start of the measure. Maybe I'll try it again with proper tools later. Anyway, you wouldn't believe how many bad things have happened in the past 2-3 weeks. I will list them here. No reason not to. Stop reading here if you don't like bad things!
Electricians are turning the house upside down. They did it wrong too and my dad had to tear down the wires they installed and start over. Constant family fighting about the move and where to rent. I get yelled at for offering to spend my money to help. No I am not allowed to help with a demonstrable need. Bedroom AC broke unexpectedly and needed to be fixed. Washing machine broke unexpectedly and needed to be fixed. Kitchen vent fan over the stove broke unexpectedly and needed to be replaced. Our beloved cat passed away and we found her body outside. The moving pod is too small to keep our things so we're leaving so much behind. Inspectors and appraisers are coming in and saying they need to bring in other inspectors and contractors and all these fucking vultures. I have to carry boxes nonstop and get overheated in the storage truck cargo area. I'm not built for it I'm only 5'2". And last night there was a sheet of fabric that got scorched on the stove (with no vent fan) while I was trying to fall asleep in bed so my lungs got injured and I had to sleep on the concrete stoop outside for half the night because the whole house was filled with toxic smoke and fumes. I still have pain in my lungs and throat. Every noise someone makes echoes throughout the house because the furniture got moved, and the other construction outside, immediately next door, means it's not peaceful out there either. It's unbelievable!! This is like someone placed a curse! When/if I live alone someday I'm going to try and have as few possessions as possible.

Keeping the prog alive! I saw your Meshuggah recommendation on the discord so now I see the connection, haha. Goes hard at 2:08 when the melodic line comes in over the chug.

Sorry things have been not going good for you. I was reading about all the appliances breaking down (relatable, I bought a home 5 years ago and I've nearly replaced all appliances at this point) but hearing that your cat passed away is the cherry on the shit sundae. Pet loss is super hard. Hope you're doing alright.

OMG - Sorry to hear about all of this.  Terrible couple of weeks.  Hopefully you're getting all your bad luck out of the way for the year.

I like the track - sounds like a spy thriller!  Hope you have a better week!
