Last weekend I went to a concert performed by the local symphony orchestra and it was a wonderful experience. It also sparked some inspiration for this weeks submission.

I've worked on three different compositions/sketches this week and finally landed on finishing and posting this one. In the first one I sat down and read a bit about how to voice the strings in an orchestra, in the third one I focused mainly on creating a nice sounding choir (who doesn't love an orchestra accompanied by a choir?). This one, the second one, is kind of a shorter composition implementing some of the parts I've focused on in the other sketches over notes I more or less randomly played a couple times on a my keyboard. Somehow they fit well together.

There is very little in terms of effects going on here, some reverb and a bit of EQ-ing on the master. The rest is pretty much only raw BBC Symphony orchestra VST.

Might revisit the other ideas and in the future, we'll see.

This is awesome! I'm not familiar with that VST, I'm definitely gonna have to check it out.

This is fantastic! Wonderful arrangement of strings and choir!! Very cinematic, and would not be out of place soundtracking a dramatic climax in a movie! Here's hoping for more orchestral weeklybeats!

Oooo nice slow burn. The choir comes in very subtly and this sounds like the climax of a tragedy. Dark and rich.

This is beautiful. That plug-in is truly a wonder.

What a wonderful surprise! The strings are so lush, when the track kicked off i kept waiting for Darth Vader to walk in, lol

The choir and strings sound amazing. Really cool composition. smile

So epic and atmospheric. Love the build up around 1:00 heart
