Part 4 of the deep-house-one-night-stand-in-space series. Once again, composed on the M8, mix and master in Ableton (plus some claps this time). Part 5 (last part) next week barring disaster, and I'll be working on refining these tracks and a few others for a deep house EP.
These are cheese tracks but they got groove and some ear candy so I'm happy with them.
Thank you to everyone that tuned in to Cabin Radio for The Doppler Effect show - I was overwhelmed, they played five of my tracks, three from The Pulsar Suite and the whole of The Message (plus bonus track). It was surreal and amazing to hear my work on the radio.
The rest of that night went terribly, I'm afraid - I will spare the details, but I got home from the emergency vet at 5am and it has been a sad week since.
On happier news - thanks to everyone that gave snow for europa a listen, and much thanks if you purchased the EP, I really hope you enjoy it. If you haven't checked it out yet, be sure to give it a listen - some of the tracks are from WB this year, but much improved, remixed and mastered for the EP. There is also a long continuous mix of the full EP with dialogue as an added bonus.
Yes, I am exclusively available on Bandcamp - like a lot of artists on Weekly Beats - for a lot of reasons, the least among which is the moral and ethical minefield that is many streaming services these days (especially Spotify). But moreso, Bandcamp really supports their artists - a simple numbers game to illustrate: if you buy Snow for Europa for $9 CAD, you've effectively paid me what Spotify would pay me for 3000 streams. Considering in the whole of my career on Bandcamp I've had less than 700 streams, that's a big deal.
Also - my radio spot last week, the host, Cody, discovered me on Bandcamp almost entirely at random just looking for space music. That's more "discoverability" than I have ever had on any social media platform, ever.
In short: Bandcamp is awesome. Support your Bandcamp musician friends.
Alright this is more than I thought I'd be able to type and articulate today. Part 5 of House next week, then I think we are moving on to some acid techno and cyber-ambient stuff - next major collection gonna be called "Night City" for the obvious references and I think it'll be awesome.
all of you. Hug your furballs for me.
