Love those 7th chords! Very whimsical feel but still enough purpose that I'm bobbing my head to the groove! Really fun and catchy! Nice work.
Agree with PeterM that the harmony use makes for a whimsical rather than wistful mood there, but I guess you can be wistful about whimsical events. The bass with a hint of synthwave there. A nicely dynamic tune. I liked it!
