SATELLITE RADIO

Man, it's busy this time of year.
Just a simple track this week. I started out with a plucky bed to work with, then I pulled out the Kaossilator to try to get a lead to go on top of everything. That's when I discovered that you can make use of the External instrument on the M8 even if that instrument doesn't have MIDI, a la Kaossilator. You just need to have a note sequenced and held on the M8 and it routes the incoming audio through all the filters, effects, etc that you set on your External instrument. You just can't trigger the notes via MIDI, but everything else works. Sooo ... I ended up cranking the POST:W2 amp up to FF (which must be close to 11 in decimal!) and jacked the resonance on the filter and got this wild feedback and resonance thing that reminds me of trying to tune a shortwave radio. The delay echos were sounding a bit like Morse Code and I don't even really know what was causing these sounds, but I kinda just went with that 'cause it sounded cool. And the Kaossilator is so damn tricky to keep in line, it just felt appropriate to add a bunch more chaos into the mix lol.
Anyway, I'm please with the results, if it's only an idea and not a fully fledged song. But it's uploaded and I'm spending the rest of the day with my family, so that's a win.
