Neat - a remix of one of my favorite Orange Drink songs! big_smile

Fun remix smile

When you are not sure about what to do, you dig on previous decent stuff and have fun with it!

Ooooh the guitar strums over the big beat are extra noice.  Yais i like!

When that beat dropped @1:02... HELL. YES. And then guitar?? I'm vibing with this.

Haha, oh shit!

Oh wow --- and then it made perfect sense when the beat drops!  And the vibrato guitar just to cheekily mash it all together.  You heccers hunman you!  Cheers for the continued vibes :-)

Love the guitar.  But yo, is this what it sounds like inside your head?  Because this song is sort of like a weird dream about a memory that might not be real.

This goes into my bloody valentine direction. I like it

LOVE this. would love to one day see a breakdown of the OT project too

It was super cool when the beat kicked in.  Love the lights on this also.

this is so cool, the sample mashing feels great and I was totally surprised by the beat drop, amazing

I like the brute force entry into the song -- just dropped straight into chopped vocal loops, feels a bit like you're in freefall, grasping for the form. which makes it super satisfying when the beat drops in.

love hearing you continue to get deeper with the octatrack.

Bit glitchy, you may need to debug.

hey, i think the CD player is skipping.... and wow, it also does a high-pass filter-sweep and then achieves a steady rhythmic beat over these skips too... this is no ordinary Sony DISCman!

Loved how trippy this felt going in, like just getting these skippy loops and not sure what's going on, and then the beat kicks in and it gets really groovy in an unexpected way. Loved it

I love the lighting in the video. This gives us a christmas-themed impressionist version of Drew!

That track is deconstructed, it sounds a bit like the remix albums that NIN would release back in the 90s of their own tracks. The brutal deconstructed vocal track against the organic and slightly off guitar is just perfect, grounding the whole track, and adding a whimsical effect. I loved the whole effect, video and melodies. My fav video of the year so far!

Thank you for the validation!  Yes, I felt like the whole thing was accidental madness but then I found a beat to “recontextualize” the pattern.  Glad it worked.  Thank you Trixy (my new nickname for you smile )

I think this is what it sounds like in my head when all the sounds slide around.  AMAZING quote - that perfectly describes it.  Very poetic, might have to use this in the press kit.

I can really visualize that freefall, great metaphor.  Yeah, the beat serves to organize the chaos.  Thanks for listening buddy

Santa Drew!  Dude I LOVED the Further Down The Spiral, more than the actual album - so you are spot on again, I bet that really was in my subconscious.  My first exposure to AFX I think?

Fav video??  Awesome, thank you!

Please do

double date sometime YES PLEASE  heart
it's been too long since we've been to MKE.
not sure if you're a fan, but i often dream about Vanguard

Taking a random guess that the intro sequence is in... 21/16? yikes lol (Sounds like 5 beats + a sliver of a beat)
That transition from 0:50 into 0:57 is masterful, the way that beat comes in just lands perfectly. Love the warbly guitar too!

I wonder what caused mine and jwh's comments to become italicized, hmm. bbcode hacks abound.

i was feeling your energy on this one, loved this vid and the wild jam/remix!

[/i] did i fix it i wonder.

lol nope, sorry for the notifs tongue
