ah, one of my favorite genres! I like how raw the drums and guitar sound but also tightly controlled and mixed well.

I hope you are more in peace with yourself then you used to be!

Take care, dope track!

was frank wiping a tear at the end there? - i know i was
sending ya'll so much heart

This rocks!  Really digging that 90's shoegaze sound.  A good looking crew on that couch, too.  What's your dog's name???

Great sound, love the shoegaze, nice vocals!

This was awesome heart. the groove between the guitars and drums so good.  You feel it even more with your lyrics.  Love those chords and dang it got me all verklempt! heart

Awesome. There’s some strong Bob Mould vibes here. Loved the contrast of the sedate visual against the driving guitar and rhythm. Drums were fantastic. And the way you reached for Frank’s hand on “not alone”… heart heart heart  Amazing work.

Awesome track! Loved the drums and the vocals! Really well done!

Hey man. This is beautiful. I'm so happy you're never going back to those dark days. There's just way too much awesomeness (and yes, that does include your own) to allow those voices, that sadness and that anger to win.
Again, thank you for your art. We are all better because of it.

Fully sick.
90s in the best way.

Well done! The somewhat 'weak', empty sound fits well. It's one of those things that, in hindsight, are a feature and not a bug of '90s recordings. It's relatively easy to get a big, clean, punchy, overengineered sound these days. But that low contrast, empty sound that came from limited equipment and low budgets, with tracks written in a rush, has emotional value. Anyway, good stuff!

come onnn this is so cool.

90s shoegaze forever, you absolutely killed it heart

hope ur both doing the best you ever have!

Powerful message and emotional!

Drewwwww... this one hit hard emotionally, in a bittersweet way. Sad because you had to go through feeling like that, but soooo happy to see where you are now. Oh yeah... and the song itself sounds sick, in a really awesome way.
Thank you for sharing your art. *hugs*

Love the chord progression and hazy guitar sounds in this one!

The performances every week, both musically and in the videos. It's freaking amazing!

Frank's single tear! I was a fountain by the end of the video. Beautiful work my friends.

Such an incredible track. The rawness carries the emotion so well. Every aspect of this track is perfect. Really exemplary stuff, I can't get enough of it!

Wow, is this what shoegaze is supposed to sound like?  Because it's rad af.  Even the dog loves it.

Holdin' down the shoegaze fort this week! I'll take the next watch smile

Love the progression, and those drums are super crisp and forward in a nice way. I can relate a lot to the lyrics, too. Thanks for the vulnerability!

You've got a way with your songs of cutting right to the point and hitting me right in the feels. big_smile The concept for the video and your expressions throughout really sell the emotion of the track too. Powerful stuff and a new favorite. heart

Powerful stuff! I was a little nervous in video at first, like I wondered if there was tension or what was going to be said, sung, happen ... Feels to you.

I LOOOOOOOVE the vocal processing on this track.  Like it pulls the whole track into this massive spaces that like... simultaneously makes the lyrics feel claustrophobic and like isolated, but like somehow in a wide open space... which woks so well with the harmony and the actual lyrical content.  What track dude, damn.  Like I've heard the saying "music makes you feel feelings, lyrics make you think thoughts, and songs make you feel... thoughts... this song perfectly exemplifies that.

beautiful heart
keep going, Drew. you are so loved.

Thank you!  I am really proud of this mix and balancing “full” yet “empty”

I appreciate you so much DJIP - I really have to thank the WB family for teaching me how to accept and embrace myself as an artist

Say hello to HUNTER!  We’ve had him for a few years but still training him how to be “camera ready”

Wow, thanks so much for noticing that moment!  We were so rushed trying to get the dog to settle in that by the time we were rolling, the seriousness of the vocals hit me and I really got into it.  Was hard not to cry looking Frank in the eye!

oof Jegasus yet again on his neverending quest to make me cry via WB comments.  All too often i’m just focused on the current drama of my current life and I don’t zoom out and express gratitude.  Jegasus, i’m really grateful for your comments and interpretations of my work because it feels amazing to see my work through your eyes heart

thank you!  yeah, i don’t know how to describe it but it was supposed to be “big” but also “empty” so I appreciated that comment from you.

we are!  also i don’t want to freak you out but you were a big inspiration for this - not that your music is shoegaze but something about the stuff you and your crew have been doing have been making me think about echoey vocals or something.  idk! heart

Thanks so much, I appreciate you SO MUCH for watching and listening!  I feel like it is a lot to ask, lol but your attention and consideration makes it worth it.  I love cooking knowing people will eat the food, ya know?

WOOOF now i’m going to cry.  I really appreciate that you talk about the space - I was trying to make this song somehow “tight” and “big” yet “empty” but “close”???  thanks SO much.  I’m going to be thinking about that quote for a long time (and i’ll attribute it to you now smile )

THIS SLAPS. Sounds like an Interpol song, for real. No notes, five stars. Just wow.

Great performance, just like the old days, but better, because they're new.
