Point Of Origin

I went for something different this week. I felt it was time to move on from my previous experiments and go back to something a bit more traditional, using the Synthstrom Deluge.

I got the second one I bought last year upgraded with the OLED screen and installed the community firmware. I mostly focused on using patches from the latest community pack as a first restriction and without any drums as a second restriction.

I also wanted to test the audio export feature of the latest firmware and so I did export from it and then import all the individual tracks in Reason for a last mixing and mastering step.

The result is pretty simple, maybe a tad slow to develop and it ends up being too long. I wasn't feeling inspired this week but I'm still satisfied that I could come up with something anyway. For me that's one of the main perks of challenging myself to create a piece of music every week.

Thanks for any feedback and have a fantastic week!

Ooooo time to try out the community firmware methinks. This is lovely. I really dig the slow build and floaty feeling.

First I thought of brasses in a concert hall.. then i had the picture of a wonderfull morning in the mountains with the rising sun..i also like this tape like detuning within..

simple, yes, but comfy
