Weeklybeats is a 52 week long music project in which artists compose and publicly release 1 song a week for the entire year.
Starting January 1st 2024 GMT each participant will have one week to upload one finished composition. Any style of music or selection of instruments are welcomed and encouraged.

Alright, I've listened to everything but haven't seen the videos and felt like I shouldn't comment without watching the videos. HERE WE GO ORANGE DRINK DELIXE DVD CALLED HOT THE FFF OFF THE PRESSES THIS YEAR.
Track note I made while listening at work today w/ a literal pen-and-pencil notepad like a nerd: "ever since Forced Deal Attempt, I "hear" a helicopter arm going in a circle in all your beat, holy shit the samples..."
Note on the video: I "aw"-ed on numerous occasions and said "wait is that... wtf that's MOVES" at least once.
The beat is really excellent with the trumpet and the "woooh" sound - love it. It is hip, very cool and just the right mix. The video is really nice, like memories bubbling up. Osaka castle! Is that the pirate ship in Hakone? And wow young Drew with a mustache! Very cool track and fun concept!

Thank you, all samples! I really wish I had a good ramen place near me! This video made me eat some instant ramen a few days later.

That’s awesome - my brain kind of catches some of those words on recordings and that’s why I incorporate them in my work - they take on a musical quality all their own. I’m so honored it took a life of its own in your mind! The footage spans decades, but the audio was a completely separate recording and THAT was from 2017

thank you for the awwws and guess what? That was a breakdance battle and I lost in the first round. I was super scared, intimidated, and nervous about it, but the footage is great! I am not a “power moves” breakdancer; I am a “top rocker” so I think the judges felt like I wasn’t comparable. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Thank you - YES it was the pirate ship! The Japan footage was fron our honeymoon, then random tapes from back in the day. I woke up one day as a kid and had a moustache, true story. I was so young!

Awesome video, fits so well with the music, cool to see some old footage, the pitched down vocals really stick in your head.
