Red Mountain

Still on the three-track methodology, here with neck (center), bridge pickup (panned right), and both pickups (panned left) on the Bb F-tuned Univox. With everything going on in the world right now...this one's trying to slow down and find an island of relative calm.

Over two tracking sessions, late Friday (after work)and late Saturday (after working on a level/crown job on another guitar), my attention or energy may have been limited. But I ended up using most of what I tracked, apart from one incongruous theme. There is a key change between the first bits from Friday and the middle bits from Saturday, but it's not totally obvious.

No inline effects, no vintage circuit. Just a bit of convolution reverb and the compression/eq on the main.

The title is from a mountain pass on US route 550.

Great track.  You were very successful in creating a calm tune but it was also quite engaging, at no point did it become background music as calming songs have a tendency to do.  Very nice

perfect way to start the week. listened 3 times in a row as I wasn't ready for it to be over

The spread of the sounds feels great. My brain likes to follow the spatial placement of the parts. keeps it extra interesting.

A rugged one, but still peaceful.
