Shifting Sands and Dancing Winds

By ngineer on January 13, 2020 12:01 am

Decided to try my hand with some imagery like some other titles I've seen around on WB smile This is an instrumental I finished that I ran out of time before any vocals stuck with. Fortunately, I'm really happy how the beat turned out!

Bangin' track! never felt i missed any vocals!

hehe. I would have to spend some real time working on vocals to fit this tune tongue

The beat's just fine all its own, the lead's doing a great job carrying it.

Really nice use of the organ!

The delay rolling off that upper melody slathers everything in just the right amount of ambiance while that beat breathes throughout, really dig it.

Took a lot of carving away at the beat, I don't think I've ever programmed a better drums arrangement before yikes Lead was a happy last minute addition relatively smile

Thanks! It had a really nice timbre and I tried to vary it up a lot. If I had time I would have like to try applying some vibrato

Hehe I'm happy I experimented with the delay. Thanks!

Nice vibes here - digging the drum programming and the bass + lead. Nice instrumental!

Thank you! I'm glad somebody pointed out the bassline. I just listened to Lithium Flower the other day and had to do a little melodic bass, even if it's got nothing on the Yoko Kanno line.

those high siren synths hit hard!

yep from mobile, doesn't seem to be a "preview comment" option

Lovely soaring portamentos and arps.  Very dreamy.  Bass and drums are real tight as well. Nice work!

Ooh, loving those drums, and the groove, then that bass drops and I'm in! Nice one, goes well with that title!
