epilogue - lament for the second sun

By neon liminal on April 26, 2026 8:48 pm

This was an unexpected week. About twice as many things as usual took up my time and despite having two "completely different" tracks on the go, I just ran out of time to finish them properly. But there is a beauty in music and it's spontaneity, sometimes, and a little desperation, and here we go.

This is a bit of an epilogue for Titan City Nights - not something I planned - but I think it works. It's a solo performance on the Moog Grandmother, featuring ambient delightfulness courtesy of Red Means Recording's Loop Forest patch on the Zoia. Recorded 2-3 takes, sliced them up in DAW, glued it all together with a little reverb and magic. There is even an "after-the-end-credits" teaser at the end for the next ambient project.

That being said, we're not jumping back into more ambient right away. Next week will be And Now For Something Completely Different courtesy of some acid trance/techno and that'll be a theme for a few weeks at least while I rework my live setup for new things.

Stay frosty, sparky.

Love the organ feels and how they melt away into those airy pads.  The final shining section is just pure beauty with those melodic nods from the guitar. heart awesome!

gorgeous pivot, my Friend
and love the call-back/call-forward post-script heart

this is a nice closer for your series. Different and opens up. Love the pads and the organ.

I will Never be disappointed at an expected Neon Liminal ambient week. Lovely. And oh that teaser outro guitar!

For the record, neither Dr Frog nor I have forgotten that we owe you a Nasty track, but life has gotten in the way. Perhaps in May? smile

so many beautiful textures. every section of this track just keeps getting more amazing

i just sit back i got evolved by the atmosphere, and  floating thro the soundwaves ...  really nice tune bro !!!

This is so pretty!

Really lovely build and textures.

Can't wait for you to be hitting it with some techno.

Really nice stuff. All the open fifths give it a string-section-tuning-up feeling, but drifting in space in some awesome way.

That organ is just so gorgeous. You have such an incredible ability to make huge beautiful soundscapes heart
