I Want To Burn Bright | Fast, floaty and dreamy Techno to play WipeOut to

By electronic_tiger on April 26, 2026 8:42 pm

164bpm techno to play WipeOut to, week 17. It's fast and dreamy. Relentlessly going through different stages culminating into a section to zone-out to. Taking Paisleyfrog's suggestion from last week, I tried make it a bit more 'guitar sounding'. Not being a guitar player, everything is a synthesizers going through guitar pedals. Anyway, I wanted to make something that has a lot of energy. And feels kind of floaty. And I think I succeeded in that, what do you think?

Any and all feedback is welcome!

Love the guitary sounds! Definitely has plenty of energy!

The dreamy chords are beautiful, it feels uplifting and frenetic.

love the upbeat, floaty vibe that starts a little over half a minute in. feels like im in the zone/flow, soaring down the track. the drum climax at the last minute is tense AF and I imagine relief as im crossing the finish line at the end. nice work!

High energy, lots of hype building. Running synths through guitar pedals sounds like a lot of fun, really adds a lot of character to the mids.

Love this! The variety and speed in arpeggios is great, gives an awesome bubbly feel and really reinforces the energy. The quick arpeggios made me think a little of Pink Floyd and On The Run, just a fun mental association smile

Really like the texture the pedals add to the synths and how you used them - accents here, melody line there. The crunchy overdrive was almost like a rock organ at times a la Deep Purple. Good stuff!

I like the energy at the end, but 3:40–4:40 felt somewhat static after all the variety and builds of what came before. My ear wanted a little build in energy to the end. But that is a stylistic thought and is fully my opinion smile

Great stuff!
