Inspired by that meme going around about a flock of ducks staring up at a meteor streaking across the cosmos.

Ducks are lucky. They have wings so they don't need spaceships.

Happy Week 21 everybody! Getting close to the midpoint, eh? wink

Ohhh this is smooth AF. Nice work!

Really cool how the guitar lead and the other synth leads sort of have that muffled duck character to them (at least to my tiny ears).  The bassline and chord progression are extra sweet and have that signature sound of yours I'm so fond of.  The beat keeps the whole thing grooving underneath those nice arps too.
I think Launchpad McQuack & Darkwing Duck had flying apparatuses tongue  I wonder if they needed parachutes.

haha, the moment that duck synth quipped in I beamed. This totally sounds like something that would belong on... wait a minute... IS this influenced by VA-11 Hall-A? Quite the coincidence if it's not considering the structure of your song title haha. I LOVE Garoad's soundtracks, this immediately made me think of it. Dreamy synths, that relaxed beat that just keeps the pulse of the song going. Mmmm, good stuff!

I really like the arp in this track.  I think it layers with the melodic, guitar(?) sound really nicely.  And, creates a really striking continuity, that doesn't ever get too old because of how much forward momentum the track has from the other melodic elements, and harmonic progression.  Very nice.

This is the right track to land an epic guitar solo out of nothing. 100% tasty.

So many beautiful layers and complimentary parts going on, the nylon-string guitar sound, pads, flutes, ducks, etc. It all works so well together! The guitar is so cool and was unexpected, this track excels at moving between feeling light and heavy.

Also, currently watching my partner play Animal Well - no ducks on screen but this vibe fits really well and makes the exploration feel like even more of an epic adventure.

It's cool to me how even without the story your instrumental tracks always seem to tell a story. This is no exception, and yeah - that solo was a pleasant surprise!

Oh yeeeeeah, I love this! Also, I had no idea what meme you were referring to and had to Google "ducks meteor". Luckily, Know Your Meme came in clutch.
Anyways, this totally captures a feeling of wonder and amazement at the cosmos and the beauty of space. Wonderfully done!!!!

LOOOOOL

With how it started, I did not expect it to go so hard! The flavor was perfect, and then that guitar comes in....ducks may not need spaceships, but that solo shot this tracks straight into space. Awesome.

The arps are a perfect peaceful background for this journey through a beautiful landscape that takes me back to SNES RPGs (albeit with higher definition audio).

Wow this builds so well. Love the guitar work and all the supporting layers. Well done! Such a great arc you’ve arranged, maybe meteor inspired.

How could the majesty of space ever compare to the sight of bread? I like this song, it somehow reminds me of mischief makers.

Hmm, good question. Ah, the many mysteries of space…

Thanks for listening!

Whoa, a VA-11 Hall-A shoutout - NICE! big_smile This wasn’t directly inspired by it, but Garoad’s a big favorite of mine too. (There’s a track from the Catecachis EP I’ve been playing on loop for months since I first heard it.) And thanks so much for the kind words!

Thanks! I definitely need more practice in that area, so this feedback is very much appreciated.

Awesome! Been hearing a lot of good things about Animal Well since it came out. Neat to hear this track got to be part of the experience for a bit. Thanks!

Thank you! Some weeks make it tougher than others, but my goal for each track (even the rushed ones) is to have some kind of musical arc in play. Glad to hear this one did!

Hehe, right? I think that’s why ducks don’t all just fly away into space: because Earth is where all the bread is.

Thanks! Not familiar with mischief makers (unless by mischief makers you mean ducks) but I’d love to learn more.

Thanks so much! We don’t have any nails though. Wonder if we’ve got any grapes… tongue

It's a 2D platformer for the N64. Much like your music, describing it doesn't do it any justice, it should be experienced.

guitar goes super hard on this
