Ooo I love the bell big_smile Nice work man!!

ohh this is so nice! it's like big dream pop vibes via a roland mt32. love the vocal processing and yea the carillon melody is such a nice touch! the fuzzy guitar-ish lead is just perfect too

Cool! I'm glad to hear you again! Really looking forward to hear your tracks!

Wow! This is kind of different for you! It sounds like there's a lot of post-rock influence here and I'm totally vibing with it. It's definitely among your best that I recall from recent memory. I'd love to hear more of this down the line! It works really well with the vocals you put in as well. In case Saguaro Gigante doesn't comment on this later, I'm sitting with him right now listening to tracks and he's really vibing with this too. Seriously, excellent work!

lovely! and so confident. always dig your tracks... looking forward to what's in store in 2024

Happy 2024!

What a nice vibe this track has! The vocals with the chorus and the pop vibe are really nice, epic, and have a sense of magic. The bells from 1:05 are a nice touch with the other sounds you have. That's a great track that will get stuck in my head!

the bells really elevate the track, nice work!

some serious shoegazing

This rocks! Everything meshes so well but every part matters. What a powerful start to the year!

Hell yeah!

Loving the cloud pop about clouds popping. Meta. Great job! Welcome back, and keep it up!

Absolute banger! I love how the vocals sort of overlap, its a super neat effect. Who is it? I get oliver vibes but I'm not that familiar with en vocaloids.

Lovely music. Thanks

Really cool how it launches right away into space rock/shoegaze territory.  The bells are a nice touch as well.  Gave me some Boards of Canada vibes with the vocals too.  Super catchy track!

wonderful pop that takes us to the clouds and beyond. Great vocals. I dig the bells - they go well when floating amongst clouds!

Yeah, shoe-gaze vibes for sure. Love it!

I couldn't believe this was a levelcapybara song, except it still sounds awesome.  Superb harmony and instrumentation

far out... love it

welcome to 2024 so glad to see you back!

A really lovely track that feels like you're soaring. Great track to kick off the new year.

WELCOME BACK YOU LEGEND

awesome goosechasing! ...shoegazing? Awesome track! The kind of vocal overlaps/repeat around 1:45 are super nice, not sure what it is but it really adds to the song

So dreamy!

Welcome back. I see you found the vocaloids. Hope they serve you well.
- Devieus

Sorry for the late replies everybody! But thanks so much for all the feedback and encouragement, and for taking the time to listen.

Thank you! It's funny, I'm not too familiar with the genre, but the more I hear people recommend stuff in it the more I like it. If you've got any favorites, I'd love to check them out!

Coming from you, that's huge praise! Thanks so much. heart The voice is one of the Vocaloid 5 presets ("Amy"). I bounced two recordings an octave apart to help with depth and intelligability. Don't know that it paid off - definitely still learning what I'm doing with Vocaloid - but I had fun with it and I enjoy the timbre!

Thanks! I'll have to check out Boards of Canada, people who mention them really seem to love them. And tubular bells. And shoegaze. big_smile Looks like there's a lot of cool things to explore this year.

Glad you liked it! Thanks for listening. And definitely hit me up with any shoegaze recommendations, I'm new to the genre and totally down to learn what I can.

i do like the silversun pickups and ulrich schnauss, and -more classic shoegazing - the cocteau twins.

dude did you just shoegaze??? this is so sick!  I think our next collaboration needs to be like this

Funny enough, I have some sounds that I love working with and that tend to show up a lot in my stuff - but I actually didn't realize tubular bells were one of them until I read the comments for my first few WeeklyBeats this year. Guess it was subconscious? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ They've definitely got a cool and convenient sound though. Hope I've been putting them to good use!

Same, the roland mt32 vibes very bold. Clarity, punchy and sharp. But the song also has such noise and grit, my faves.
The church bells are inspired af. This song is so fucken good the longer I listen to it. This chord progression is fantastic, uplifting and intriguing all at once.

Hell of a start to wb24!

I love this track! Very chill with lots of layers that all complement each other. Sounds great!

Thanks so much! You've got quite a powerful sound yourself, so it means a ton to hear that from you. Here's to what'll hopefully be a heck of a fun year!

Excellent, such a big intro.  Really sets the tone, feel-good song all the way through.  What vocaloid are you using?

Vocaloid5 (and the voice preset is "Amy"). Glad to hear that it fit the track okay, and I'm especially glad to hear the intro made a good impression!
