Nublado

Rainy and dark here in Madrid lately.

Week's been busy and while I was planning for a very "hiphopy" project, complete with vinyl beatjuggling (well, my lame version of it) I discovered my Native Instruments Audio 4 DJ soundcard was faulty. Frankly, that gear isn't exactly cheap, but I find their products are not an example of durability.

I turned last minute to an ambient, Berlin School type jam, using Reaper. The project was quite suitable for "four track cassette treatment" so my stems were ready and ... I discovered I left my 4 track setup on storage! No time for picking up those cables and restart again. Anyway, if I manage to dump everything to cassette, I think that would make for a good video (and it's been ages since I upload something)

Final nail in the coffin: I was rendering my project and I forgot to remove a faulty plugin (unused and unnecessary) that was placed on standby, so the process first halted to a crawl then crashed. I know I'll make the same mistake again, but... never add an untested plugin last minute!

Extra trankful to Wisefire for the late upload link. Respect !!!

Ah, BTW, "Nublado" means "Cloudy"... Originality wasn't my strong point this week

Take care, everyone, wherever you are

Love this. I think “rainy and dark” is a nice description of the feel I got here as well. Finished my second listen and I’m gonna go back for a third. Great track.

such a nice vibe, felt like i was spacing out listening to a slow motion waterfall

Lovely track, really nice feel to it, for some reason I've been listening to lots of old Orbital records this week, this would mix in quite nice with their early albums. My parents just arrived in Spain this morning for a couple weeks, hopefully they get some sunny weather and the clouds clear.
